  Apostafest Christmas at A&W's- Guess who's coming to dinner?

  i am so excited about christmas, i've only celebrated 2 since 1978.. i will be having a mini - apostafest with some jwders on the saturday after christmas along with family (even some of my ex-husband's family).

  whoo hoo !

  bumble bee and memario will be coming from canada and they are also bringing mincan!

  I have just read "A question of concience"

  i just read "a question of concience" by former cathlic priest charles davis it paralels rays struggle.. the book was read by ray before he wrote and titled "a question of concience".

  anybody read "a question of concience".?..

  his similar situation to rays was interesting and the knowledge contained in the book insightful..

  For faders: Is the book study meeting the first to go?

  any faders out there, which is the first meeting that you start to miss on a regular basis?.

  for me, it is the bookstudy - haven't been in weeks, no one calls, says a word.. so glad not to be reading the revelation book anymore.. from reports i have heard, the book study is the least supported meetings of all five..

  many of you will know that my beloved claire is a physiotherapist (physical therapist, usa).. the other day she came home and asked "everything o.k?".

  i replied: "no!".

  whilst reading this my 11 year old son was looking over my shoulder, and reading along with me, some of the discussion was quite adult but respectful .

  so i began thinking what age would you discuss these things?

  Jankyn This is one of the reason for raising this point, in the wts it is viewed as an horrendous sin, why? to control and repress people. The only people I think have a right to know what goes in my bedroom ( or not ) are those who I choose to talk to about it . What happened to you is awful , shame on them!!   Hi Grtechen . Sorry i did not respond sooner to you - time difference. it is now morning here.

  I do not want to discuss the details of sex with my 11y unless he asks. I do though want to teach him awareness and tolerance of people with differing life stiles.. He was reading the discussion began by Dansk about his lesbian daughter Faundy and that prompted this thread

  I never discussed the subject of homosexuality with my older son as i was still in the wts. Now having left i was quite moved by younger son's tolerance and openness.

  My JW wife and daughter would as you know never discuss this except in negative terms.

  HEY Chris BIG TEX, yeah I do let him let him know what he wants to know, but as I have said i would like at least a awareness on his part.

  Hi Momz, How prescient eh? This DA df is really wrong, why should they care? I think we that they should not be bothered what we do or do not do in the bedroom. It is our business .Why the need to feel guilty?

  Chickpea I think that the way you dealt with your 14y daughter is great!! That more than illustrates the need to talk and also to accept people for what they are and not what we think they should be!!

  The sad thing is I could never have this conversation with my JW wife and daughter.
