  Why Are Jehovah's Witnesses NOT "The Truth"???

  list your reasons why you can say that the witnesses clearly do not have "the truth".

  If you have the truth it should be examinable from all angles and still stand up, therefore few if any lines of reasoning should be off limits. That being so let us look into.... 1914..1975... Education ...Shunning.... Child abuse and on. Pick a topic, of what u believe is right it should stand up to scrutiny. Wonder how far i get?

  I actually believe it is not the truth for two main reasons, it's latent misogyny and anti education

  That is awful and I am not surprised, until the wtbs change their policies on sexual abuse victims of it will continue to suffer for longer than they need to.

  I know at least four victims of sexual abuse (non JW) and of two (JW) and i can tell you it blights and colours their lives.

  3 Pretty much straight away, though I planned a gradual fade, for family reasons.

  4 & 5 Had doubts for long time, however when the elders were stupid & unkind to us about our (then ) very young children, having lost one parent and then on the process of losing the second, i thought I am off, and planned my exit.

  6 Not sure, do not care really After 4 & 5 i just new i had to go.

  i thought i'd share my experience as an elder dealing with abuse.. i attended 23 different congregations in my life and served as an elder or ms in 9 of them.

  Hi slmdf

  I had this discussion with a friend. I am a governor at a local school, they have definite and rigorous policies on child protection. All governors should attend basic level training. There is also a designated procedure on how to deal with any allegations of child abuse, or suspected child abuse. There are members of staff at a senior level who are tasked to deal with this. . All allegations are minuted thus providing a clear paper trail.

  on october 6th i registered in this forum, and gave a brief description of my personal experience, promising i would expand later.

  the time has gone by very rapidly, other different priorities have kept me away from this forum, which i will not cover otherwise i would take even more time going down to the core of the subject.

  my objective, in this forum, is to be of help to others who might be at a loss and who are confronted with the difficult issue of being loyal or leave the organization.

  Hi Nick,

  Welcome!! What an interesting and detailed post, I had never ever considered the disconnect between the GB and the FDS, but it is now that you have pointed out very obvious. I have known 2 people of the anointed, and i am certain that the were not in contact with the GB.

  Yeah why do u think they settle out of court and using gagging orders?

  I think that as has been said the society looks after itself rather than the victims, for which they have a measure of responsibility. They treat victims very badly hence they leave themselves open to being sued.
