The Thanksgiving that never was
by RisingEagle inthere were some postings in the jwd recent past that asked if while an active witling was thanksgiving dinner served on or around the worldly holiday.
i have been thinking about the subject off and on as the pavo day draws near, now i know why.
my cell phone rang while i was doing laundry and checking for random kleenex in the pockets (thanks bem and misanthropic).

A jw/Bridezilla
by RisingEagle ini have an extremely active jw relative that manages to 'break' her computer at least twice a week and asks me to fix whatever problem she has caused.
it's so bad sometimes that i would not be suprised to go to her home and find whiteout on the monitor screen.
so today i am undoing a simple problem with her e-mail when i see, "xx and yy's wedding pics".

Crocs and assisted suicide attempts
by RisingEagle inthey are the shoes that everyone loves to hate.
they are also the shoes that have fans that will disregard what others in this world say about them in regards to fashion and taste.
if you wear and love them, you just don't care, your feet are happy and that's all that matters.

Halloween Joke
by RisingEagle inan extremely modest man was in the hospital for a series of tests, the last which had left his bodily systems extremely upset.. .
upon making several false alarm trips to the bathroom, he decided the latest episode was another false alarm and stayed put.
he suddenly filled his bed with diarrhea and was embarrassed beyond his ability to remain rational.. .

Princess Roller Skates!
by RisingEagle inthere was no way today was going to be a good day.
our little girl was experiencing separation issues with her bio family and spoke them non-stop from the time the car pulled out of the driveway, to my wife's work to the front door of her school.
"my momma has my...my momma gives me...my momma took me to...my daddy showed me...my daddy gave me...my daddy did..." i tried distracting her with eye-spy games which led to, "my momma saw a.." i couldn't seem to take her mind off what was bothering her and when i left her at the door to her classroom she was weeping.

Confessions of a hungry insomniac
by RisingEagle ini started thinking about this earlier this evening while reading the 'what's for dinner' thread.
then around midnight i posted on the 'did we land on the moon' thread about a 24 hour restaurant and it hit me: i'm hungry.. i'm a late night eater.
i rarely go to bed before 2 or 3 most nights and then it's up at 6 and out the door to start the new day.
