My Cats new Litter Box
by OUTLAW inalot of you have seen them..automated self-cleaning cat litter boxes..it`s frigg`n amazing!..the cat takes a dump..10 minutes later,a rake comes from the back of the box and scoops up the poop..theres a little garbage can at the front of the box..the garbage can lid is raised by the machine and the poop is placed in the garbage can..then the machine closes the lid and rakes the sand perfect, for the cats next poop..lol!
!...............theres been many improvements through the years and i`ve just upgraded to the new cat litter box "poopius maximus!"..lol!
!.......i was amazed how the first model could rake the sand so perfect and evenly.my first thought was:"what do they expect the cat do do,take a poop and play a round of golf in his litter box??"..lol!

A few weeks ago my little furballs decided they didn't like one of their litter boxes. I looked at the automated ones but didn't want to spend that much even thou the new large covered on cast $45. Paralipomenon starts coughing really hard when he does to boxes and it doesn't bother me so I get the job.
I have found that some kinds of clumping cat litter work better than others. The store brand clumping does not work for urine. I use Maxx Mulit-cat unscented and it works really well and I use less. It is a bit more expensive but I can usually get it on sale.
I read that women who have been exposed to cat feces before pregnancy are at a much lower risk of developing Toxoplasmosis. http://www.cdc.gov/NCIDOD/dpd/parasites/toxoplasmosis/factsht_toxoplasmosis.htm Sorry I don't know how to do the linky thingy. Not as scary or as dangerous as you think. Just take some precautions and you'll be fine.

I found the phrase "have a happy period" on a maxi the other day. It made me really angry. Then a few days after that I thought about it again and thought it was cute. SO basically, the hormonal crazy woman was enraged, while the calm peaceful normal woman was amused. I think "Don't punt the cat for meowing" would be a better phrase to print. Maybe "He is only 5 minutes late, you can't kill him", "No, cutting your hair will not make you look thinner", "If you start reorganizing the closets you will eventually have to put it all back in", "DEATH BY CHOCOLATE!!!!' works for me too.

When a Friend is Driving Drunk. What to do????
by horrible life inlast night, a small group ( about 8 ) of teenagers gathered to go watch the meteor showers.
a young man, known to all, drove up, asking what was going on.
they told him they were talking about where was the best place to go watch.

This summer our local daycare lost a 22 year old woman to drunk driving. She was intelligent, fabulous with the kids and a loving daughter. She and 3 friends went to a party and knew they would be drinking. Later that night she and her friends got back into the car and started off. On their way home, she drove, speeding, into the back of a parked road repair machine. She died. One of her friends who was passed out drunk in the back seat was thrown from the car. She was the only one who died that night but it could have been prevented. Her parents, family, friends and co-workers are grieving, not to mention all the little kids who don't understand why she didn't come back. Such a stupid way to die. Take the keys, call the police or knock 'em over the head, just don't them a friend or stranger drive impaired. That goes for people who are too tired to drive.

Wedding gifts..wouldn't you feel good about something that lasted 28 years?
by restrangled ini have sent many gifts to married people, and most of it money.. i received a wedding gift in 1979 that i am using to this day.
it was from a family i grew up with, and the parents are now divorced, but at the time were full members of the jw's.. they asked me: did i want a full ensemble for a bedroom from marshall fields or a cuisinart.
i chose the later.

I want my mother's mixer. That machine is so powerful, nothing today could match. I will prolly get it when they die but only if they hate my sister more than me on that day.
My favorite wedding gift was a fully stocked first aid kit. We still have it and all the kids the neighbour hood know where it is. Anyone gets hurt they run to my house for the kit. The other moms even donate to it to keep it stocked. For me it is kind of symbol of all the good friends you can make outside the Borg.

Ryan sounds like one of the good ones. Work with him to raise your child and your lives will be very happy. Now time for my thoughts about your mother. Watch her like a hawk. She may for a time comply with your rules but slowly she will start her tricks again. When your baby is old enough to talk start a routine for talking about what happened at Grandmothers house.(and every other place he may go without you). Once in a while, I would suggest a surprise visit from you if she has him on her meeting nights. Is she home or at the meeting? She doesn't have to know that you check up on her if you don't catch her doing something wrong. Record everything. Write down conversations you have with her with time and dates. Keep it up even if it seems she is following the rules. You never know when that information will come in handy.
Biggest thing of all, love each other and don't let your mother ruin everything. Put aside your anger and spend time with Ryan and the baby doing fun things. Don't let this take over your life.
