how often have witnesses knocked on your door since you left the borg?
how often did they talk to you during street witnessing?
in the past 4 years i have never been visited (live in a new area where nobody knows about my witness past, urban area, highly densed witness communities around).. this week i almost had to force them to preach.
I have not seen a JW in the 20 years since I left (other than family). I finally had a tract left at my door, but I doubt they even rang the bell, because I was home at the time they left the tract. I would love to have a friendly chat with someone...probably wouldn't tell them I am DF'ed because that would end the conversation immediately. I wonder if I will ever get a chance?...

just thought i would ask in case any of you have had any experience with a home owners association.
i'm being sued for not paying dues and other fines and went to a mediation hearing a while ago.
we explianed that we we never informed of the hoa when we bought the home and never signed any agreement, infact i was very explicit with everyone involved in the buying proccess to make sure there was no hoa since i did not want to buy if there was one.
In most States, the proper disclosures have to be made at the time of closing. I would be very surprised that a legal HOA exists if they don't supply you with CC&R's and Association Rules prior to close of purchase. You definitely need to consult an attorney...

LisaRose...I love it here. Being from CA originally, it is so nice to get away from crowds, traffic, high prices and taxes, etc. that a little variable weather is no bother. This rain is an anomaly as you know...typical Colorado weather is very low humidity and sunny.
Glad to hear things are improving DBNC...it looks like the worst is over. Now it's a race to get roads rebuilt before the snow comes!

Sammie...I think pretty much everything in the mountains in that area is trashed. The reports are that some small towns in the high country may be cut off for another week or two before they can be reached other than by helicopter. According to the news this morning, there are still 180 people unaccounted for...

I hear ya DBNC...this is definitely not the typical sunny Colorado weather we are used to! I don't think I've seen this many inclement days in a row since I have lived here. I hope you fare well and the next storm doesn't affect you further.

DBNC...we are down south near Castle Rock, and the rains were relatively mild here. It is crazy how the weather can vary so much in Colorado! It is one of the things I love about living here, but I hate to see these kind of extremes...I am glad to hear that your house was not affected. I had not heard about any looting, but it doesn't surprise me...stealing from people already under stress, it just doesn't get much more despicable than that.
Latest account I read stated the Boulder/Longmont area has received in excess of 10 inches (25.5 cm) since Wednesday evening...the annual average for most of the Front Range area is about 15 inches (38 cm). 65% of your annual rainfall in less than 3 days is a bit tough to absorb!
Stay safe, and batten down the hatches...they are calling for more rain tomorrow!
