  Infact it even says so in the reference bible footnote: 'Invocation PRAYER'

  Puppy (the name of our kitten)

  LOL. Now that's an original name for a cat. I love it!!!

  See I originally wanted to name the kitten 'damn it' 'come here damn it! Damn it come here!' but my girlfriend wouldn't have it...so i spit out 'dog' and 'puppy' and puppy stuck. ~FiveShadows

  Reading the bible but not applying it to your every day life is much like..

  ...reading a recipe book but never actually trying the recipes.

  i feel that in a way thats what ive sometimes done.

  i do believe that the bible is a guide on how to live but too many of us think that all we need is the knowledge and were all set.

  Yeah, it reminds me of John 5:39,40....that really hits home to your statement.

  See, i agree. The point is to not get 'knowledge' but to seek out TRUTH and use the application of the Word (Christ) so it (He) resides inside your heart. So goodness can come of our actions that are in alignment with principles we might not even know! ...

  the denbigh, virginia kingdom hall was destroyed by an accidental fire begun by a member who was welding and soldering pipes in a bathroom.

  the insulation ignited and although he tried to extinguish the blaze, he was unsuccessful.

  i have long laughed about this so when i saw it, it was pretty funny.

  maybe you had to be there.. i was on the city bus this morning, on my way to school.

  (i'm in college) anyway, i saw a guy reading a watchtower and i was wondering if he was a real dubbie or had just picked up the magazine off the seat or something.

  I think knowing this stuff is important though. Maybe it will compel one of us to get off our asses and do something about it. Who knows, maybe future legislation will be passed to further protect animals?

  I think it's important not to be oblivious to these things. It's sad to think that someone would do this for whatever sadistic purpose. I think we should appreciate our lives in this as well. Cause things like this, sadly, not only are done to animals but humans as well that we just never hear about. Blinding our future and walking aimlessly without knowing the world we live in can be a dangerous thing. It's important to know the world we live in, and though i might not know much about it, I am glad for this post. Makes me appreciate somethings I have.

  Puppy (the name of our kitten) is just barely 6 weeks old. She's extremely small and god it would hurt really bad if someone did that to her.

  I, for one, would not be suprized though if the people that did this were on drugs.
