Does Anyone Know Any of the Newer GB Members? Please share your stories.

i have read some threads here that suggest that anyone thinking big changes are coming to the watchtower due to all of the new gb appointments is fooling themselves.

its been said that ted jaracz has been heavily involved in selecting new gb members and wants to ensure that they all share his hard-line vision for the religion.

i must admit that i thought there would be big changes by now since six of the nine gb members were appointed within the last eight years.

I remember back when Bro. Losch, said that ridiculous statement. I was just waking up from my afternoon ciesta, and was busy scoping out the WT "babes", sitting by my dad (lifelong Green Bay Packer fan), and we heard the ignorance spill forth from the platform. He was questioned aftewards by attendants, and one of them requested to see the outline, the football part WAS NOT IN THERE, it was an editorial comment from Losch and a personal OPINION!!!! My dad, and many other family members and friends discussed that point the rest of the convention on what a "Wacko" that Losch was. Losch was also nice enough to run the last talk of the District convention over by more than an hour and 20 minutes!!!!! He then followed that up with a 15 minute closing prayer. During the time he was running his talk over, MANY, MANY people left, including one large black lady with a bright red hat, that was sitting on the floor near the stage. She got up and made a large waving motion to her family in the upper concourse, during the talk, and they all walked out, one of the funniest things I've ever seen at an assembly.

If there is one "higher up Dub" that I could kick square in the nuts, Losch would be the one.

I'm 100% sure that its not for me. I don't like the "control", I also never cared for the "you can't question us" stuff. So now I live my life the way I want to live it, and I'm still a great person, even without the borg

ok, i had some friends leave the borg.... one was a child hood friend, whose parents moved to wa.

her name was audrey senore (should be 26 or so now), i heard through the grapevine she ran off or something.

also another friend, tim lockwood (should be 26 -27) both of these, were childhood and teenage friends of mine, and last i heard, both were df'd, if you know them or know where they're at, hit me with a pm.

Well I posted here in hopes that maybe one of the two of them had "washed up" here. You never know, and I counted both as good friends. Tim and I played lots of hours of basketball together, and I used to love talking to Audrey when her dad gave talks at our hall. Nice people. I also remember when I played Lynyrd Skynyrd at Tim's HS graduation party and his parents unplugged it. They took him to the side, and then put on some Kingdom melodies, which was "proper" music for the friends.

I been trying to reconnect with some people that were in that left as teens and we were friends, most moved, but I kept track of them, because I knew they were moving. These two, I just totally lost track, because the moves were so sudden.

That was a JOKE!!!! NOT A TRUE ARTICLE!!!! Please don't go around saying you saw this in a watchtower, you will lose credibility, much like how you ran with June 12 Armageddon date. Speakers have always talked about Armageddon being "weeks away", as a scare tactic, but the Dubs don't put that stuff in print anymore or predict certain dates. If they did that NOW, they would lose, many, many members of their money making borg. Somebody here just threw out June 12 as a date as a joke, then a few here, ran with it, as not a joke. If we say these things around dubs or people with dub knowledge, we lose credibility. Then they say how ignorant the x-Dubs / apostates are, spreading "misinformation". Much better to use their own stuff against them, for "there is a multitude of transgressions".

okay, i'm not really sure where to start here, and i apologize in advance if this is all over the place.. i basically have come here for your help and advice.

my husband and i got married may of this year, so it has only been 2 months!

he was raised a jw (only by his mother, his dad has never been in the "truth").

If neither of you are baptized, just continue to not go. NO ONE, I mean NO ONE, can force you into staying, they can't even punish you. Good luck in your marriage, and good luck in leaving that uber controlling book publishing company.

Meeting RollerDave and seeing his aposta-truck up close

sometimes when someone new comes on the board and makes a big splash, you wonder if it's all for real.. rollerdave arrived on this board in the last couple months and has lit it up with his insight and wit, including recent experiences dealing with his old family and congregation.. after i pm'd dave here i learned he was indeed the same dave i knew back in a north-side minneapolis kingdom hall oh so many years ago.

we talked on the phone last weekend and actually got together for the first time last night.

as i expected he is just as genuine and witty and fun as he shows on this discussion board.

Yeah, I spoke with Dave the other night, very nice man. He was lucky to have caught me, as I have a terrible schedule, usually I'm either working or playing in the band, or trying to spend a few precious moments with my great friends. One of these days, I plan to get up to MN, and meet "the big man", and I'm looking forward to it. And Gopher, when I'm there I'd like to meet you too

Was everybody drinkin last night??? I know I was "really chillin" when my phone rang last night, I was pissed at first, but then mellowed once I knew who it was, and had a nice chat. I was on my third Makers and Coke double, and zoning out with some Little Feat live "Waiting on Colombus" and Bo Ramsey.

I love to turn off all the lights in the house, recline in my chair, and light the candles, then pour a few strong drinks, and zone out to some killer live albums.
