we know in the jw realm, satan is believed to be the main cause of all the wickedness going on in our world today.

after taking a quick look at news headlines, and seeing the crap going on around us, i personally don't find that so hard to believe.

but i wanted to see how you guys handle the tragedies and wickedness going on around us?

According to "witness dogma"satan was confined to the earth,when" it"set about causing all of mankinds woes???after1914? Jesus christ, cain murdered his brother not long after humans were put on earth,and since then EVERY CENTURY has had all sorts of atrocities commited.As has been explained previously the" communication explosion" of this past hundred yrs.just seems to make it worse.

In the past, FAKE newspaper coverage of WT "International Conventions" in the US

many people that post or lurk here at jwn are too young to remember some of the huge international conventions jws held many years ago, but probably have seen impressive photos such as of the 1958 eight-day convention held simultaneously at new yorks yankee stadium and polo grounds.

especially remarkable was the tremendous newspaper coverage of that assembly and other special conventions held in the 1940s and 50s in the united states.

yesterday, when i downloaded somebodys old scrapbook full of long-ago newspaper articles, http://www.archive.org/details/watchtowernewsscrapbook,reporting on jehovahs witnesses so-called international conventions, i couldnt help but remember what i wrote regarding extraordinary newspaper convention coverage in my www.freeminds.org article, how jehovahs witnesses watchtower religion impacted my family history, part 3 and thought id share the information here on jwn for those who are not familiar with how such wonderful coverage came about.

The same thing happened at the "International"convention held in melbourne during the 60`s,and was still occurring at district conventions I attended in brisbane during the 90`s.I too was dissallusioned when I discovered this practice.

first of all i understand why a lot of us dont want to be identified by all and sundry who might lurk here trying to identify us.but it dissapoints me to look up someones call sign,and their is absolutely no information about the person at all.you dont have to be specific as to your cong.or even area,but it`s nice to know the general area you come from, your sex,a general idea of your age ,it tends to give you more of a personality,a real person.we can relate to you as a real person.i love to see xjw,from oz,a couple i have been able to communicate with via pm`s,i send a pm if their similar to my age or have identified they have been in the same area as i was.if people dont want to respond, well and good.but please just give a little with your" avtar"?is that what we call it?

(i am computer illiterate,and getting a bit senile).

The fundamental flaw with the WTBTS as "God's Organization"?

there are countless issues that people have with the society and which together have led to many people realizing that it is not what it claims and pretends to be.

these include things like the secret un affiliation, contradictory and hypocritical stances, (malawi vs mexico vs un/ngo), the ever changing blood policy and ever changing doctrine, failed predictions for armageddon etc, etc, etc.. but what is the consensus about what the fundamental flaw is?.

what i mean is, many jw's hear about these various issues and manage to make endless excuses for them, even though this involves gross hypocrisy and excusing the society for things they would never excuse in other religions and which the society itself has ruthless condemned other religions for over almost 100 years.

If God (Jehovah) truly loved humans

i`m taking this veiwpoint from a jw/christian observation, and my questions are:.

if god, jehovah, allah,or whoever else you may like to call him,truly had the worlds " human" interests at heart,why would he only deal with a small minority of humans,over centuries of time ignoring the vast majority of the worlds population.. why would he send a number of prophets over centuries of time,to specifically set matters straight as to how they should worship him,then when it comes down to jesus time ,their are numerous sects,and no real direction from god as to how they should worship him.it`s all left up to faith,which is radically different from the "old testament"veiw.. why didn`t he give instructions /guidance to the rest of mankind,(who would have been in the millions by now)to give them some hope of salvation?

obviously he didn`t give any thought to them.. 2000 years on from their, the christian gospel is mainly only preached in western civilizations,it is not widely preached in india,pakistan,the uae,mainland china,indonesia,afghanistan,or many other large populated areas.. so my question is.... does god really "love the world so much that he gave his only begotten son" .

What Is The Watchtower Afraid Of?

if you follow the current nonsense being taught by the society, in its latest magazines and assembly parts, there seems to be a dominant theme about near worship of the "faithful slave" and tiresome nagging about 'obey, obey, obey'.. my unanswered question is: why?.

if they were the empire in star wars, i would expect to hear dark-robed members of the evil governing body muttering about " a disturbance in the force".. anyhow, what has changed to generate this sudden demand for obedience to their supposed authority?

some years ago, they panicked after contributions collapsed in the 'voluntary donation arrangement'.
