Apostate's last public talk ? Freaking fantastic ! Really great thinking points he gave the audience in that talk. They were none the wiser as to who was giving the talk. Pretty clever. And then for the speaker to skip out for an " emergency " near the end of the talk- smart move. Also enjoyed the rock music video at the end. Nice band and this ex-elder can play some guitar ! He bears a resemblance in the face to Dave Matthews actually a little bit. Hopefully he made some JW's in the audience think with his " public talk " . Pretty epic stuff, thanks for sharing

Why is the white race so different?

In my personal DNA I've been researching on the genealogy websites 23 & Me and Ancestry.com - my DNA shows that although I'm 53 % British & Scottish, I also have a small % of Sub Saharan African and Native American in me as well. Also- My Neanderthal percentage is 3.1 % which according to 23 & me puts me in the top 2 % of humans alive today who have Neanderthal in them. I'm more Neanderthal than 98 % of humans on the planet ! LOL ! Average is 2.5 % for 50 % of humans alive.
So yeah, I feel that a good number of Africans had relations with European Neanderthals and that each travelled into each other's countries thousands of years ago which means we are all related somehow. Hey and that's cool ! Variety is the spice of life man ! I've got a little bit of everything in me. Spanish, French, German, African, native American, even 1,000 years ago some Russian and Ukranian. Our ancestors travelled everywhere , so I might be one of you guys & gals distant Neanderthal cousin ! And you wondered why I'm always searching for Sasquatch- right ? Hey man, gotta find my ancestors ! LOL.

All of them are crazy. All the WT Society publications have some kind of bat shit crazy mind control indoctrination in them. It's not just the " Revelation " book or the " Babylon the Great has Fallen " book that are the most dangerous- it's even the most subtle books like the " Family " book or " Young People Ask " books that have insidious mind control indoctrination within them. " Malignant narcissism " . Just got done reading an article in Rolling Stone magazine describing Donald Trump. My god- then I got to thinking after I read the article about all the narcissists I've known in my own life ! Including my own 91 year old elder JW dad. The psychological traits these people display are scary and deeply ingrained causing much damage to themselves and others. Word for the day for what I'm researching : narcissism. Sounds like the Catholic Church is dragging it's heels as well in prosecuting child abusers. It's a good thing that they put more staff on to handle the crimes, but if the staff sits on their hands and does nothing- then nothing gets accomplished. Good article, thanks for posting it.
I think MANY different religious organizations drag their heels in handling child abuse because of the public fallout and negative media coverage . So the WT Society, Catholics, Baptist, Mormons, etc. - many of these organizations try to settle out of court with child abuse victims to hush it up- rather than change their child abuse policies. It shows where priorities lie with most of these religions- and it's not the needs of the abused children

How much time and money did we waste traveling to meetings alone?

It was just way too disgusting how much money and time was wasted on these meetings, service, and assemblies. I was a sole provider for almost 20 years in my first marriage to a very fanatic JW wife. Worked my ass off. WE had 3 small stair step children and not only did we spend upwards of $ 400.00 to $ 500.00 to just get food, buy hotel rooms, eat out at restaurants at District conventions- I had to miss work sometimes on Friday and then my then wife would say, " let's donate to Jehovah to let him see how much we appreciate this spiritual feast " on the Sunday program - slyly squeezing another $ 50.00 or so more dollars out of our already shrinking checking account. Same JW wife who charged up $ 25,000 on credit cards mysteriously wondering " where did all our money go " ?
Sometimes I felt like the " Rodney Dangerfield " of JW's I swear. I got " no respect " whatsoever. But I know I'm not alone. There are hundreds if not thousands of you fellow EX-JW's here on this board that can identify with my story. I'm glad we are OUT ! Freedom is so sweet it feels like a spiritual orgasm each day of my life or awakening to reality these last 14 years I've been out ! We were SO trapped people. Be glad those days are gone

Deflated after realising my inactive friends are POMI
by Isambard Crater ini'm going through an extremely hard and dark time right now and really yearned for the support of people i know in the flesh, and i really thought revealing my serious doubts and frustrations to a few close friends who became inactive several years ago would help.
they attend the memorial and no more than 2 sunday meetings each year, and haven't preached for several years, so are still technically baptised-but-inactive.. it broke my heart or at least left me feeling very alone when they all (they don't know each other and live in separate areas) told me that they can sympathise but reckon i should stay with "the truth" (their words, still) as it's the best thing there is.
it's like i'd discovered a new group of people, not pimo (physically in, mentally out, like me) but pomi (physically out, mentally in).

ISAMBARD- Sorry to hear that you experienced this letdown. Hey man- WT mind control is SO strong over even some EX-JW's - that people who have been disfellowshipped for 20 or 30 years end up going back to the JW organization. It's incredible. And shows how dangerous the WT Society hold is gripping people. Cult mind control is not easily discarded unfortunately. Many ex-JW's just don't do the work of informing themselves mentally of how we got so screwed up mentally - so the WT garbage remains in their brains for years after they exit the JW cult. It takes effort to clean out our minds and put something useful back into it. And of course many just stay in or return for family- thus sacrificing their inner souls and minds. Peace out, mr. Flipper
