WT Society Creates the Atmosphere which Spawns Child Abuse in Congregations

been thinking about this lately after almost 14 years out of the jw cult myself.

when you think of the language used within the jehovah's witness organization in such a closed society environment in how the wt society promotes almost absolute " trust " in the elders , the governing body, and trust even in the " friends " in the congregation themselves- is it any wonder that unscrupulous child molesters can enter any congregation pretending to be " spiritual " and take advantage of unsuspecting children or the parents ?

think about it : an individual is judged as a " spiritual " person within the jw organization based on what wt functions or duties they are good at performing.

ORPHAN CROW- Good point you make about the JW lack of clear boundaries between children and adults, very true. I agree and I think you are onto something about children not emotionally developing correctly due to being thrust into the adult world of baptism. It's kind of like as you say- they've reached the expected JW " pinnacle " and are looked at and expected to be " adults " forevermore. Even at age 10 - it's twisted and disgusting.

" Children are given inappropriate information about sex. " You've got that right as well. What sane parent in their right mind wants to have their children hear about oral or anal sex at a WT Study ? Or discuss and hear about " bestiality " ? I mean- it's ridiculous- and criminal in my opinion how much sexual information gets discussed in front of minor JW children . That's one of the reasons- among many - that this JW organization produces INSANE parents and INSANE children.

Your points about JW's having a lack of power in their lives as well as the elders are very good points. I agree entirely. Elders THINK they have power- but they really don't. So to compensate for their lack of power- due to frustration I think they take this power out on JW's considered " lesser " in the organization - women & children. But it's not just due to " frustration " - JW elders are an extension of the Governing Body and they are molded, trained, and indoctrinated to abuse the " power " that's been given them- because it's how the GB is hardwired and the elders are hardwired that way as well. It's an extremely disgusting and damaging scenario within the JW organization that continues to foster abusive elders abusing the rank & file JW's. It's criminal- really.

DIOGENESISTER- Good points. These JW men who become elders or get positions of power over others seek those positions out for years and many of them are " groomed " to be in power positions over others- even from an early age. Think of teenage elders sons conducting meetings for service while less " qualified " older JW males sit there or older JW women sit there listening to a teenager pontificate who has no life experience. I mean - think about it. How weird is it that we used to see such scenarios in the JW congregations ?

Good points you make- I think scammers and users are very common within the JW cult due to the environment of too much trust and no checks and balances on these people sneaking in the back door. Some of these wack jobs even walk right in the front door ! I'm sorry that that weird man tried to pick up on your daughter, but like the great protective mom that you are you protected your daughter, good for you ! I hope you scared the wits out of this guy ! And you are right- even in the non-JW and JW world we all have to be careful of scammers . Crazy world we live in. THEWONDEROFYOU- I agree with you on disfellowshipping. It's used to " control the performing of WT functions " . Exactly. DFing creates those boundaries that the WT Society seeks to use to divide people one from another while splitting up families in the process. And the perpetrator and victims of any kind of abuse try to work behind these WT sanctioned boundaries constantly doing some kind of a twisted mental dance so they stay accepted to other JW's who live in this conflicted bubble with them. Not until a person breaks away free from the organization will they ever shed the heavy load that abusive elders and fellow abusive JW's put on their shoulders. And once a person leaves this abuse- it's like a ton of bricks gets lifted off of our shoulders

Wanted to bump this thread up in response to the thread that was put out about " God " helping the JW's in Russia. These experiences of folks on these threads should assure many that " God " is not " protecting " Jehovah's Witnesses- if anything he's asleep on the job all the while allowing sociopath's to continue abusing others in his " clean " organization. Any comments welcome

i'm at the stage where i'd love a big scandal to come along showing clearly that the j.w's are not the true religion, but sometimes i get touched inside by various thoughts or events, the russian court trial being one of them.. i mean, j.w's are understandably fixated with attending the memorial, so why didn't the court say it will resume on monday or tuesday, instead setting wednesday 12 april as the date?

part of me believes the comments from pro-j.w's that jehovah moved events so they could attend the memorial.. it seems the j.w's will not be banned, which makes my mind and heart wrestle between thinking jah's behind it, or maybe the ministry of justice is just woefully prepared compared to the superb australian royal commission team who did their homework.

it surprises me the russians seemingly haven't done any homework..

I agree with JAMBON 1 - If " Jah " as you call him is allegedly " saving " the JW's from further Russian " persecution " - then how come " Jah " isn't stopping the Governing Body from killing JW's in prohibiting them to take life saving blood transfusions ? How come the WT Governing Body isn't protecting JW children from being victims of child abuse within the organization and hiding database files on 20,000 known JW pedophiles- refusing to release this information to the courts ? How come the WT Governing Body continues to break up families from the shunning policies which cause many ex-JW's to derail mentally and commit suicide ?

If " Jah " is that loving of a " God " - ask yourself these questions . Time to wake up and smell the coffee man. As someone mentioned earlier- this is not Disney world from our youth

Rest in Peace Don- one of the greats indeed ! Funny as hell. I loved it when he was on the Johnny Carson show- probably one of the few comedians with a quicker wit and humor than Carson. He would put Johnny through his paces on that show- then Carson couldn't stop laughing . Incredible talent. We need more like him these days. I put Rickles in the same league as Sam Kinison & Rodney Dangerfield as comedians. Priceless

UNSHACKLE the CHAINS- Great point you make. The arrogance of the GB WILL be the cause of their own downfall. And you're right- there indeed may be one or two even on the GB who might have a conscience- but FEAR is a powerful tool to keep possible dissenters of the religion quiet. They would lose their family, their life, and support system if they came out against the JW cult in public. Think Ray Franz. Mind control cults like Scientology and JW's use these techniques and fear to prevent people from leaving - one reason they push the " shunning " practice so much.

WE can only hope that someone at the top of the WT Society gathers up enough courage and strength to come out in public like Ray Franz did and either write a book or gets on nationwide media to expose the corruption of the WT Society. Many grassroots movements might be starting up - like what's happening in Poland right now with 60-80 people publicly demonstrating getting media attention. Those kinds of movements need to keep happening around the world everywhere

Very well done and organized ! THIS is what needs to happen across the United States and in other countries as well. Ex-JW's getting together in numbers of 60 - 80 people, demonstrating with signs, getting media attention in public places, and even standing outside Kingdom Hall entrances as people drive in off the street to attend. Perhaps we'll start seeing this on mainstream T.V. or Internet around the world if Ex-JW folks can consolidate efforts and stop being like cats going off in all different directions without being herded or organized. I hope more of these grass roots movements get started

UNSHACKLE the CHAINS- The ONLY reason that the GB may be inquisitive about how they are perceived is not due to having a conscience or that they feel bad about negative reports regarding them - the only reason they might be the slightest bit interested in curbing negative news is due to the financial concerns for themselves and the WT organization. WT power mongers and greed wish to keep the organization afloat as a property eating real estate corporation disguised as a " religion " .

These are NOT men who are deluded. They know full well what kind of scam they are pulling on rank & file Jehovah's Witnesses. They have " taken the money " and ran off essentially with the use of free, donated labor from JW's - then sell the kingdom halls out from under these same Witnesses - all the while claiming WT Society has title and deed to the land and properties.

These are NOT men who are deluded - who refuse to cooperate with orders from superior courts demanding they release data base files and names of over 20,000 pedophiles within the Jehovah's Witnesses. These WT leaders are evil, narcissistic, sociopaths who feel the laws of the land in any country do not apply to them. They feel entitled as they feel they ARE " god " essentially and have no need to answer to anyone for their actions.

They run a criminal organization intent on harming other people and breaking up families. This meets their end game- taking away people's money and power
