Why?
Surely these men must see what's going on. If they can afford fancy pinky rings, they must have smart phones. If they have smart phones, they must be inquisitive as to how they are perceived. If they are inquisitive as to how they (the GB) are perceived, then they will be reading all sorts of things about them - critical or not!
So why are they deluded?
Because they are the CEOs of this corporation and G.O.D. (guardians of doctrine) they have to be picked very carefully so anyone manifesting the least bit of doubt will never qualify for the job (just look at the Raymond Franz fiasco). So especially ever since his deflection I'm sure every future prospective GB is watched very closely to make doubly sure they are thoroughly under WT mind control.
This of course means scrapping the bottom of the barrel to find such ass holes as evident with this current batch of clowns on the GB and their policies. Which means they are very poor business men and will probably lead the corporation to bankruptcy in the future.
Of the religious rulers of his day, Jesus said:

I think there is no delusion in the realization of what they are doing is supportive to serve their own personal stature and life style within the organization. and for guys who probably dont have a retirement saved, they are even more pressed to keep the organization fluently active.
That is also why GB men are usually there for life until they die.

They're not deluded -- they are on stage. It's called successful showmanship and it's paid off well for them.
At least some of them have probably heard so many lies repeated for so long that they have ended up believing their own propaganda.
The Euphoria that comes with such a high position is in part hormone driven, re-inforced with the occasional luxurious splendor few of us ever experience.
Even Hitler's expression seem to indicate that he could not believe this is happening to him. It is not their fault.

UNSHACKLE the CHAINS- The ONLY reason that the GB may be inquisitive about how they are perceived is not due to having a conscience or that they feel bad about negative reports regarding them - the only reason they might be the slightest bit interested in curbing negative news is due to the financial concerns for themselves and the WT organization. WT power mongers and greed wish to keep the organization afloat as a property eating real estate corporation disguised as a " religion " .
These are NOT men who are deluded. They know full well what kind of scam they are pulling on rank & file Jehovah's Witnesses. They have " taken the money " and ran off essentially with the use of free, donated labor from JW's - then sell the kingdom halls out from under these same Witnesses - all the while claiming WT Society has title and deed to the land and properties.
These are NOT men who are deluded - who refuse to cooperate with orders from superior courts demanding they release data base files and names of over 20,000 pedophiles within the Jehovah's Witnesses. These WT leaders are evil, narcissistic, sociopaths who feel the laws of the land in any country do not apply to them. They feel entitled as they feel they ARE " god " essentially and have no need to answer to anyone for their actions.
They run a criminal organization intent on harming other people and breaking up families. This meets their end game- taking away people's money and power
