JW Expressions We Hate

i was browsing through stuff on jw.org recently and ran across some expressions that really grate on my nerves: loyal love, loving-care, and loving-kindness, as in: "please exercise loving-kindness toward your servant.

" who talks like that?

Good thread. Here are some that annoyed the hell out of me :

" The friends "

" We are a people for special possession "

" Jehovah's people are special "

" reach out for 'privileges ' to show how you are advancing with Jehovahs 'progressive ' organization "

" it's a privilege to be 'used ' by Jehovah "

All of these just give me the freaking ibie jeebies now when I think of them.

In hindsight- who in the hell wants to be " used ' by an organization- then discarded like trash ? Somone who is mind controlled- that's who . Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Types attracted to the sect known as jehovahs witnesses.

l have observed the types of people attracted to the sect are many times unbalanced,unstable,emotionally insecure types.the jdubs seem to home in like vulchers circling the prey ,preying on the vulnerables.they tried it on me when my father who was an elder died.promising that if you become a dub you will one day see him again.l said how can you promise that when you keep making false misleading predictions.l was wondering if others have observed this phenomenon.

LITS, you are exactly the kind of person that could never fit in with those jerks.

Having been friends for 6 years now, I know you are an exceptional person: considerate, kind, generous, intelligent,perceptive and have a great sense of humor. Knowing how you were raised it's amazing that you have your wits about you.

Just the kind of person to piss off such petty and stupid people. The kinder you were to them the worse they treated you. When I was younger a psychotherapist friend told me people like that resent you because they know they will never have the heart that you do.

It's always been a sore point for me the way groups of people single out and bully someone like that. As a little kid in Catholic school I saw some of that but the JWs have much more of it ingrained into their social behavior.

LITS once tried to do something nice for an older woman in her congregation. I believe the woman had to move away and LITS wanted to put together a little box of mementos to send her, but caught hell for it for some twisted reason. Figures.

No blood transfusions allowed thus many JW's dying , child abuse running rampant with JW pedophiles not prosecuted by law, teenage minor children not allowed to get a college education thus having to work lower paying jobs to further " kingdom ( WT ) interests " , changing doctrines twisting " this generation " into " overlapping generations " of how long the fictitious " time of the end " will last, " honoring " Jehovah ( WT ) with JW's " valuable things " i.e. translation WT leaders taking possessions and titles to all kingdom halls on planet earth to take away money and power from rank & file JW's.

These are considered the " deep things of Jehovah " that shows if a JW has made what's called " spiritual progress ". Pretty twisted

i've seen it mentioned by a few on the forum that at some point there was a realization that had they not been born a jw, they never would've converted no matter how many times the jws tried to study with them.

this was my experience too, and i'm wondering how universal it is for those that were born-in but eventually left.

i think i started having this thought (more specifically that if i were not born a jw, i would surely have become an atheist by now) in my late teens.

Yes indeed I think that's a pretty accurate and true assessment of my situation as well . Very true. I was the MOST independent thinker in my JW family of 3 older siblings and my elder dad and mom had joined the JW's 8 years before me the last child was born. So I didn't have a snowball's chance in hell NOT to be raised in the JW cult as my folks had been in it for 8 years already when I was born. Lucky me. Not.

So I had to find many coping mechanisms as a teenage JW growing up in a strict JW household with a Nazi elder dad. Things like listening to rock n' roll music i.e. Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Moody Blues , Pink Floyd - just to survive and maintain possession of my own brain and critical thinking ability. Through some miracle- it worked - here I am at age 56 a free thinking ex-JW who has a fuller world view than I once did. Have tried to read and re-educate myself these last 12 years after exiting the JW cult. It helped.

So no I would NEVER have joined the Witnesses as it was thrust upon me without my choice from birth to age 18. Freedom of mind is now priceless to me- and I will never let anybody steal away that freedom of mind ever again ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Im sick of my life

sorry but i really feel like i need to rant right now.

recently my dad was made an elder so my family has been doing a lot more "theocratic" activities lately.

every morning i wake up and put on my itchy dress and stupid makeup and heels and then pretend that i love what i'm doing and that everybody is my friend when in reality i feel horrible and all the other teenage girls at my hall hate me for some reason.

BLACKWOLF- You've had many great suggestions here from many of these wonderful folks I'm honored to call my friends on this board. I was born and raised in the JW organization as well and didn't exit until age 44 about 12 years ago. Some of my nieces and nephews ( by JW siblings kids ) got out of the Witnesses and got great college educations and even online training as well and ended up having happier, more fulfilling lives.

You can do this as well ! I know it's very difficult right now not being able to be in control of your own life - it seems you have very deeply indoctrinated JW parents who aren't too open minded - my dad was an elder for years so I know what it feels like to be controlled too. But please know and be assured that we here really do care about what happens to you and only wish happiness for you and the freedom of expression that you deserve in life. Hang in there my friend, keep on keeping on in your interests of horses, art, and educating yourself via the online suggestions folks here gave you and hopefully within a couple years when you turn 18 you can be free to make most of your own decisions on how you want to spend your time in life without the restrictions of the mind control being put on you by your parents and the WT Society. Witnesses killed my friend today.

today has been a horrible day.

what began as a day of joy finding out that one of my lifelong friends had her baby, turned into a nightmare when her brother called me to let me know she had passed away after birth.

i was in shock and didn't ask how.

This is SO sad and SO disgusting at the same time. WASONCEBLIND- I am so sorry for your loss - my deepest condolences to you dear friend. And so sorry that this little baby will be without his or her birth mother for the rest of it's life. And for what reason ? Because the young mother was still controlled by death dealing indoctrination by a criminal organization the WT Society. She was controlled through fear mongering over fantasy illusions promoted by WT leaders.

THIS is one of the main reasons the WT Society's use of mind control techniques is SO very dangerous as well as barbaric and criminal ! And it's more dangerous than most of the public are aware of. For a person that's been spit out of, and rejected or disfellowshipped by the JW organization - and then to still have that FEAR of rejection in them deep enough to die for a bunch of criminals who could not care less if that person dies- is an indicator of just how DEEP the psychological mind control of the WT Society still affects and INFECTS DFed ex-JW's to the point of losing one's life and chance to raise one's own child up to adulthood - all because of the criminal threats of a fantasy " death " at an illusionary fake " Armageddon " from WT leaders if a person does the humane thing and takes blood to save their life as well as saving their newborn child misery and potential pain.

I swear to fucking god if I had a rocket launcher I would cram it up the GB's ass and detonate it. That's how pissed off these crimes make me. They need to be brought up on crimes against humanity and have thousands of " no blood transfusion " lawsuits brought up against them to answer for the thousands of JW's who have died for this ridiculously stupid indoctrination. The criminal WT leaders are the ones to blame for this. They need to be arrested in a VERY real way and put in prison with the key thrown away
