  "Thanks for the thought" - how the religion robs people of normal humanity

  so as you all know, my wife and i are not officially df or da.. a small event happened this week that i have to share!.

  a family that we were really close to (dinners and catch ups several times a month , go out socially often, play sport together, helped them through tough times, like uncle and aunty to their kids, etc).

  the wife's father died.

  STUCK- Hey man, I know how you feel. I mean- I'm not dfed or did not dissassociate- but I'm still treated like I am dfed. I'm totally shunned by those in my family two older daughters and older JW siblings ( my youngest daughter occasionally talks or text messages me but rarely ) - all of the JW's I once considered " friends " don't speak to me or reach out, but this WT organization MAKES them this way. WT Society has created these socially inept monsters of human beings and any real humane empathy, caring, or compassion, or empathy - is totally stripped from their minds due to indoctrination and WT mind control. It's disgusting and sad. It was driven home to me when I saw what happened to my older JW mom when housed in a care facility for the final two and a half years of her life. I thought I " knew " my JW family- I didn't know them at all after the way mom was warehoused and treated with her voice and opinions being dismissed. It sickened me. Made me feel ashamed and angry that any power I thought I had to help my mom - was taken from me by my older siblings and my dad. My voice was ignored. Now I do what I can to help older people I know when it's in my power to do so

  My JW Elder Brother Passed Away

  he was basically a good man, just a believer in the religion.

  when we were both elders we were best of friends and then things deteriorated when i was not an elder for a while.

  then after becoming an elder again, i slowly drifted away from the religion and he drifted further away from me.

  while i have no pets of my own, i do care for dogs and cats and have cared for bunnies and guinea pigs in the past.

  CoCo- Great thread. My wife and I have a 19 year old cat who is just a doll. We have to give her a special food for her kidney condition , but she's still hanging in there. We have a 10 year old black lab dog who thinks I was put on this planet to throw her red rubber Kong ball ! LOL. She is so faithful, goes on hikes with me all the time. And our youngest is a 4 year old half Main coon half Siamese fluffy cat who is just beautiful . All 3 of our animals have great dispositions and personalities. They hang out on the deck outside with us overlooking the canyon and property below. They are our family and everybody here is correct, in many ways they make BETTER companions than humans. Very kind and loving.

  we’ve all heard them all our life.

  my two biggest stupidest ones i think are, “ we can really tell the end is almost here with the way people drive on the highway.” and a girl who said she wants to hurry up and marry her boyfriend because she’s scared if the end comes before their married, she’ll have to wait 1000 years to marry him.

  oh and also a poor old lady saying that she hopes jehovah wipes away the memory of her disfellowshipped sons that he will have to destroy.

  One of the most informative, well written articles on the WT Society / Jehovah's Witness criminal behavior that occurs inside the organization. Really spells it out clearly and thoroughly. And to think the WT Society leaders are so arrogant to put in their front Bethel lobby that they care about children ? Talk about hypocrisy at it's worst ! A criminal organization run by criminals protecting other criminals within the organization. Sick. Hey thanks for posting this article , I've already sent it to many of my ex-JW and non JW relatives.   i love watching the jw cart crashers on youtube and how the zombie, brain dead, we are so much better than you jdubs react.

  when they do talk a little about the two witness rule they will mention the need for proof and the testimony of the poor child is just not enough to take the inquiry any further.. the reason for calling the police is immediately is that dna can be gathered from the poor victim.

  this evidence is the second witness used for prosecution.

  SOUR GRAPES- Very good points you make. It's a criminal organization protecting criminals and pedophiles who are running around from congregation to congregation from city to city and from state to state as to avoid detection. Including men who served as elders in positions of authority. The delay on gathering DNA evidence is unforgiveable in not reporting these crimes to police.   When my older JW father was still alive if a hurricane or other bad weather conditions were on the news on T.V. he'd say to me " you know what that means don't you ? " and I'd say " yeah, we're having bad weather " - and he'd say " No, it means we're getting really close to the end, close to Armageddon ! "

  I'd just look away and roll my eyes so he wouldn't see my expression. I would just think to myself " oh brother, here we go again " - without saying anything to offend him. He actually said these things for over 60 years being in the JW cult. Then his end came last summer at almost age 92 and guess what ? The weather was perfectly sunny when he died. I just felt sorry for him that he was so fearful and superstitious all of his adult life. Ignorance was , and remains bliss to many of these people
