As Freddo mentioned - Are there no reports of how many partook of the emblems at the Memorial this year ? Are WT leaders getting nervous that it might jump from 18,000 partaking to 30,000 in one year's time ? LOL. Wouldn't that be hilarious if the number jumped up to 144,000 or more within 5 years or so ? Then WT could claim that all of the prospective " kings " and " priest's " ruling in heaven have been chosen since 2010 !!

Leah Remini to do episode on JW's

i've enjoyed her show on scientology and seems like in season 3 she is branching out with jw's getting the first episode.

This is awesome news ! I wish Leah could spend more time than just one episode on Jehovah's Witnesses ; but I understand there are hundreds of damaging mind control cults out there to expose. I think it will be a good format exposing different cults each week . Awesome ! Leah's the bomb . Pretty cool

I FOUND the truth and REALITY after I left the JW organization. I found the truth- and " the truth " is me, myself. The truth is within me . I can trust myself and look for answers within myself as I saw the whole " sin and imperfection " teaching is a crock of shit. Religions teach us not to trust ourselves so as to make us have needless feelings of " guilt " or " shame " . I don't play that game anymore. I have no reason to feel " guilt " or " shame " - I'm a truthful, good person. Much more so than the WT Society or any other religion for that matter

Interesting thread, thanks for posting. Indeed it never ceases to amaze me that people born into a religion, or even born into families with predisposed prejudices - many times never question those beliefs or prejudices and just run with them shaping themselves into the cookie cutter history of their families they were born into. And if those religions are abusive as well as hanging onto abusive prejudices - it just adds to more misery in the world.

It takes courage to break away from divisive belief systems that are harmful and forging your life ahead in a positive fashion while assisting yourself and others along the way towards a more peaceful course. Because if we think for ourselves - many times others will hate us for it and hate us for our independence. But like the old expression states, " opinions are like assholes- everyone has one. " I always think of that statement when someone religious is trying to push their belief systems on me. Cherishing my freedom of mind and independence is what helped me escape the mind control of Jehovah's Witnesses. I will always cherish that independence for the rest of my life

November Is The Cruelest Month

i have been going through old papers and photographs since my mother passed away.

it has reminded me of some of the reasons that i really hate november.

this year has added to it obviously.. thirty-four years ago, my father passed away in early november.

My dear friend, I know you hurt bad right now , and unfortunately those tears we cry are part of the healing as well. No shortcuts around it I'm afraid. As I write this I'm feeling your pain. It's hard and it is dificult. It's the same pain I felt just a year ago almost to the day when my hero mom died as well. This you tube I'm posting from David Gilmour playing High Hopes helped me to get those deep emotions and feelings out in the open and as strange as it sounds these healing tears will eventually with time ease the pain. WASA - That must have been a really weird feeling for you trying to explain to this lady that your dad was dead and couldn't make his appointment ; and a bit annoying as well. I mean hell, you're already in pain and this lady either just doesn't pay attention to what you are saying or like Slimboy says can't handle talking about death so pretends she doesn't hear you. Sometimes I wonder why some people on this planet cannot be real just for one minute in their life or show empathy. So many people are tuned out and tone deaf to the needs of other people.
