Eleanor Rigby was a really sad song by The Beatles if you listen to the lyrics. One of my favorites from them

Hoser : It reminds me of Jim Morison's song with the Doors called " Soft Parade " .
He starts : , " When I was back there in seminary school , someone put forth the proposition that you can ' petition the lord with prayer, petition the lord with prayer, petition the lord with prayer. " Then he adds, " you cannot petition the lord with prayer ! "
Then the minor chords come in on Ray Manzareks piano- beautiful song, Great message. Kind of how I see it as well

How many remember the 1969 8 day convention?
by seek2find inanybody remember the 8 day 1969 international convention.

The only saving grace for me was getting my JW mom or dad to buy me the grape flavored snow cones at lunch time at Dodger stadium in Los Angeles. Eating those 2 or 3 snow cones a day was the ONLY thing that got me through those 8 day assemblies at age 10 years old. I swear to god. Peace out, Mr. flipper

The "faithful slave" urges confession in latest Watchtower!
by The Searcher inwatchtower october 2017, page 11, par.
17 - confess and abandon secret sins.
some christians who have committed a serious sin try to cover it over in order to avoid embarrassing themselves or disappointing others.

If " not confessing " hinders the alleged " holy spirit " free flow in congregations - then this WT article should also be applied to those elders who sinned 20 to 25 years ago before becoming elders who failed to " confess " their adultery or fornication keeping it hidden- yet - years later they still got appointed as elders due to the directions in the elders manual that says " if a sin happened long ago Jehovah has forgiven it " . They still get appointed as elders. Yet they hold rank & file JW's to the wall saying, " Confess or else ! " Bastards.
It's such a crock of shit - I swear. The GB and WT leaders expect a hell of a lot more out of rank & file JW's than they expect out of elders. Why should rank & file JW's " confess " sins- if appointed elders sins aren't held against them ? Does that sound like a REASONABLE question ? This hypocritical organization makes me want to puke.

What woke you up?
by MrRoboto infor me, i think it was just the right time as i was starting to wake up on other fronts as well (anyone who had went through these will know what i mean).
but it started when i was looking for what info goes on a publisher card, which led to me reading one person's story (ex bethelite) which was pretty crazy to an all-in jw but who trusts those apostates...?.
then i started watching videos on cults, as if my subconscious was trying to tell my concord mind something... when i saw a particular one about a young man in lds getting ready to start their 2 year preaching campaign, including a school, social activities etc, i realized that i couldn't tell the difference between the folks of this mormon cult and the jws (save for some religious differences) .

TALLON- Isn't it amazing that the people we thought would support us- end up turning on us just as we're going through life changing crisis points in our lives ? We were trained to " trust " these elders - then they throw us under the bus ? Like you- I learned a lot off the Internet after I exited the Witnesses. Take care I hope you and your wife are doing better now that freedom is in your life. Hang in there, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

What woke me up ? Unjust treatment from the elders who I saw perpetrating this treatment towards others- as well as towards myself. I decided that if they were not giving counsel as they should and pulling counsel out of their ass and calling it legitimate - while wrecking people's lives with this alleged " counsel " - there was no way in hell these guys had anything called " holy spirit " that appointed them. It's all a sham

PALE EMPEROR- Your story of your brother's awakening brought tears to my eyes. In a good, happy way. I'm so happy for your brother and you as well ! To be able to communicate with your ex-JW relative like a normal human being- and have HIM communicate like a normal human being without the JW cult lingo - my god, what a beautiful thing to experience ! Your story gives me hope that my JW daughters may awaken someday. As long as there's life- there's hope. I'm glad your brother didn't take his life. The WT Society leaders should be imprisoned for crimes against mankind . Another person has bolted for freedom of mind ! Outstanding ! May you both grow closer to each other now. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper -

What "Rules" Did The Elders In Your KH Make?
by minimus insome congregations were known as liberal and others were considered very conservative.
back in the 1970s a nearby congregation made all speakers who gave public talks a white shirt to wear.
if a speaker came in wearing anything but white they were brought into the library and were given a white shirt!

The Candace Conti WT child abuse case got a ton of media exposure which let the world in on the WT Society's horrid child abuse policies. In 2002 the Dateline program interview with Barbara Anderson was very exposing of WT's criminal dealings towards abused children. Also a woman accused Ted Jaracz of child abuse towards her when he was a District overseer in California in the L.A. area . Jaracz had been mysteriously removed from being a Zone Overseer I believe in Australia for some " offenses " and shipped back to the U.S. in California where he allegedly committed more " offenses " . He was replaced as Zone Overseer by Lloyd Barry in Australia. This happened in the 1960's I believe.
This would help explain Jaracz's continued efforts to hinder or stop the early 1990's Awake articles on child abuse that were published finally by the writing committee in the WT Society. Lloyd Barry finally overpowered Jaracz's efforts to stop these articles from being printed as they were both GB members at the time. This is stuff a typical JW is totally unaware of naturally. Another hint at how upset Jaracz got about WT child abuse being exposed was his angry reply after giving a talk at a convention to a reporter when asked about WT child abuse. There's a you tube showing this Jaracz - reporter altercation.
No doubt it's a high possibility that one reason the WT Society has refused to release the Database file of 23,000 known pedophiles to the Superior courts in San Diego is that it would reveal higher up WT officials up on top of the WT " tree " whose names would get exposed as child molesters in the past and then WT Society would have to answer WHY these men were allowed to stay in high positions of power as WT leaders to authorities. Which might provoke the interest of federal agents of the U.S. government getting involved and then it would be " ballgame over " for WT Society's real estate and money scamming schemes. Of course this is only a theory I have as to the WT Society's willingness to keep paying fines for not revealing the Database file. We will see what happens. I truly hope someday bad Karma comes and bites these WT leaders in the ass. They deserve it. They run a criminal organization. Peace out, Mr. Flipper
