Well, this just confirms all of our recent suspicions concerning the sell offs of kingdom halls and consolidation situations going on. WT is trying to get it's ducks in a row " using " the elders ( of course ) to make sure these buildings are well maintained before the many sales and consolidation of kingdom halls. And just to make sure the WT puts the little part in there about realizing who really owns the kingdom halls. I like Shadows point about them reporting theft or damage to kingdom halls to police- yet they won't do it regarding child abuse unless contacting Bethel legal. Shows WT leaders priorities for sure. Greedy sons of bitches

Do you feel regret?

to help me move on after leaving the org and to maintain my sanity, i have worked on not regretting the time i spent in it.

granted, i have only been out 6 years and was 22 when i left, i still was an active jw from age 16-22. those were prime times of my youth that i will never get back.

i wanted to play high school football and basketball but couldn't.

HEREIGO- I hear what you're saying. I feel it too at times, the regrets. I feel it's only human to have regrets and wonder what might have been if we weren't so restricted as born-in JW's. I was a born-in JW from birth and finally exited at age 44 over 13 years ago. Raised by a fanatic JW elder dad in a well known JW family in our area- he had big plans for me, i.e. becoming an elder , and a prospective " example " to the congregation.

My freshman coach in high school wanted me to be on the baseball team as I had considerable skills- but my elder dad forbid me as it would interfere with Tuesday night meetings. Like yourself- I was not allowed to attend college and was expected to either got to bethel or pioneer. I chose the latter as I would hate institution life at Bethel as I've always been a free spirit. In time I saw through the politics of people " reaching out" to get " privileges " as being more really " standing out " to get " noticed " as being more " spiritual " than others in the congregation.

Be glad you got out in your 20's instead of your mid 40's - less time spent as a JW to regret . That being said the JW cult didn't rob me of everything. I've also taken up music the last 5 years playing guitar and writing songs- even producing albums now to sell in local stores or the Internet as downloads. Just the freedom of pursuing my music has helped make up for some of the loss and pain I personally experienced at the hands of this vicious cult backed by the WT Society.

So after 13 years out I'm more of a " live in the moment " or " live in the here and now " guy than dwelling on my JW past anymore. That's water under the bridge. I'd rather row forward in my lifeboat and enjoy the positive experiences I get now through reading, learning, playing music, and just appreciating the people in my life that matter who see me for who I really am - just a man who wants freedom of mind for himself , his loved ones, and his friends.

Like Happy Gal said I have NEVER regretted leaving the Witnesses though. One of the best decisions I ever made in my life. Having so much more freedom of movement in life is exhilarating like a breath of fresh air. When I left it was like a ton of bricks got lifted off my shoulders. And it still feels that way- 13 years later. It will get better for you in time I promise. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

It would be interesting to hear from folks all over the U.S. or elsewhere how MUCH of this consolidation is going on. I know in the United States in Ohio and other states many congregations are consolidating and the WT Society has indeed fancied itself as a " real estate " company now. It's amazing the level of greed in WT leaders. Pretty sick

Major congregational quake in Southern California

this notice is not official yet and it should be confidential until released thru the proper channels.

a friend of mine told me about a huge elders meeting in southern california.

the subject was the relocation and dissolution of some congregations; it seems that this is the result of some project that has been going on for some time and is going to be implemented right now.. please let me know if this is happening all over the country?.

Interesting what Hecce says, " the funds from the dissolved congregations are going to " mother " and the friends are coming to the new congregations empty handed ....... "

So NOW we know what WT Society's true motives are. I mean we always knew..... but now we REALLY know. What a scam indeed. Consolidate the congregations and instead of sending any $$$$ to the consolidated congregations- just send it to Bethel for " kingdom interests " . Uh-huh. Hey- WT has to pay for their child abuse lawsuits and blow money with all the former expanding in construction they did in some manner- right ? And how are they gonna pay for the new castle in upstate New York ? Seems we know now. Can't just be satisfied with selling millions of $$$ worth of buildings in Brooklyn- gotta have a game plan. Bethel Yellow - How can " it be argued that you ( Pale Emperor ) are the one breaking up your family by bringing in another person " ?

Here is what Pale Emperor said at the beginning, " When the witch hunt started she left me. Her dad is an interfering elder and her family are like a family straight out of a Watchtower picture. Her leaving me was her dad's advice . "

Pale's girlfriend came AFTER his wife LEFT HIM. I think he made that pretty clear.

I've been in his situation before when the whole JW world is assaulting you, assaulting your character after exiting this sick , criminal organization - and the only friend in the world that you have is yourself - between you, me and the gatepost I believe what Pale Emperor needs right now is support- not people blaming him for his wife leaving him. Pale Emperor - I agree with the others here to encourage your ex-wife to keep looking into and researching her doubts as it seems she really has those doubts about the WT Society - but guard your emotions and guard her possible ability to try to manipulate you back into a romantic relationship. Especially if you've already moved on.

The problem is like some mentioned that your ex-wife is really concerned about what her JW friends and family think of her - so her confiding in you about her doubts - although positive for her in and of itself - kind of puts pressure on you to keep that confidential for her as you see her waffling back and forth in regards to pleasing her staunch JW elder dad and family - and - at the same time trying to raise your daughter with you in a co-parenting situation.

Years ago I dealt with an ex-JW wife who was more fanatic than yours- but turned our teenage kids at the time against me. Another thing you have to watch carefully. Pay attention to what your ex-wife is telling your daughter and what your ex-wife's parents are putting into your daughters head - then take a deep breath - and be happy you have a new girlfriend who shows you support.

There are so many variables here that it's impossible for anyone to tell you what to do- but the need to be smart, cautious, and follow the old adage " fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me " seems to possibly apply here in this situation. Your ex-wife is in a very fragile emotional state waffling between pleasing her staunch JW parents and raising a daughter with you. Just be careful my friend, think and proceed with caution. Hang in there, we're here for you as friends and a support no matter what you do

i am new to this site, was always told by my elder father if the site accidentally appeared on the comp screen it was satans doing.

anyways, i am 28 y/m who had the unfortunate life of being the last of three kids to be born ins.

my oldest sibling lasted about 8 years before she was d,f.

Welcome to the site Dexter and I'm sorry you are going through these sad problems with your parents and I'm sorry your parents treated your sister so horribly. These people ( JW's ) are essentially mentally ill. They are under the influence of cult mind control from the WT Society and it causes them to do some very criminal things. Please know that we are here as a support for you as many of us have gone through similar abuses from JW family members. Well Half Banana- My wife says that I like to smell different things more than most people. I do have somewhat of a stocky build 5' 8 and over 200 lbs. barrel chest, not bow legged ( I have straight Homo Sapien legs ) a somewhat " big head " in more ways than one depending on who you ask , but the facial features are all Homo Sapien, normal face, normal eyeballs, in the proper place, normal eyebrow ridges, normal nose, a strong , squarish Homo Sapien chin, I do have strong, somewhat thicker fingers, dark brunette hair and still- no genital warts - ever. Wild animals and domestic pets like me, I get along well with dogs and cats. I guess you could say I'm pretty earthy- love the mountains, prefer being outside to inside - but lots of folks prefer being outside to inside. ( I mean hey- I enjoy researching Sasquatch - right ? ) just looking for my ancient relatives I guess. Now we'll see what kind of shit this post causes ! LOL.

My wife even says I sound like a bear when I snore - don't know if that's a prerequisite or not for Neanderthals - but I digress

According to the DNA testing service company called " 23 and Me " that tested my DNA it stated that I am 3.1 % Neanderthal ( which I sit at 98 % more Neanderthal than the rest of the planet - only 2 % of the population is more Neanderthal than me or higher than 3.1 %

Yet surprise, surprise I've never had genital warts. LOL. Perhaps I was of the " cleaner " variety of Neanderthal tribes . Peace out, Mr. Flipper Hail Neanderthals !
