Once again it becomes apparent that WT Society leaders will NEVER ever admit to fault or mistakes , or that they are wrong in their policies or directives in any way, shape, or form. They are just too arrogant. And Vidiot and Done4Good hit the nail on the head as well that if they admit to these errors and blunders - then it would be exposed that KNOWINGLY elders, possibly C.O.'s , D.O. 's , and even Governing Body members themselves were appointed into positions of oversight while WT leaders KNEW of their past child molestation offenses and kept it secret. If that came to light in courts and the public arena it would add a quicker pace to the demise of the WT Society. Quicker than the pace they are currently on. So instead, WT leaders just deny and lie about it. Like I've said before it's a " criminal organization "

How much of a " free-spirit" are you?
by The Rebel ini think every one wants to be a " free- spirit", but what does that really mean?.
i ask the question because :-.
a) i decided i would not give the religiouse organisation i belonged to the power to force me to rebel within its organisation, when the " free-spirit" inside me no longer wanted to be controlled by this religion.. b) i now realise the " free-spirit" within me that demanded independence from w.t control has also come with great consequences, which has now made the price of my liberation seem shallow.. anyway i am not well educated, but i do now appreciate the psychological and emotional consequences my actions have had on my family, and friends.

Great thread Rebel- thanks for posting it ! I agree with Heaven a JW person doesn't HAVE the right to choose whether or not to be a free spirit. You are told what to choose, how to think, who your " friends " are, and how to live, eat, breathe, sleep and what to do with your time. As a JW your time is not your own, it's the WT Society's time and you are a slave who serves the WT leader masters and their purposes and intentions.
It's disgusting how much " obedience " is drilled into the heads of each and every Witness. Just sit and think how MANY times we hear that word " obedience " in many of the WT publications . Then sit here and realize how DANGEROUS that word is to be so indoctrinated into rank & file JW's brain. " Because of being taught to be " obedient " it makes JW's ignore ANY criminal conduct on the part of the governing body members or other higher ups within the WT Society. JW's don't have access to their critical thinking brains to discern if their leaders are wrong or not- because they are told that they are always right and not to be questioned ! They are PROGRAMMED to think and exist that way. And THAT is even more dangerous because then JW's REALLY become enslaved as victims of the Stockholm Syndrome whereby they become accomplices or complicit unwittingly with any crimes the WT leaders commit as JW's support them because they are told to support WT leaders NO MATTER WHAT. Deceived into thinking WT leaders are being " persecuted " for what normal people view as crimes against humanity.
So yes, I AM a free spirit after being out almost 13 years from this organization. I am no longer enslaved and relieved and happy for that. I can look at the JW's and WT Society from a distance now as kind of a " sinking Titanic " type of organization. The band is playing on the ship's deck claiming " Armageddon " is coming and telling people to get onto the WT Society " Titanic " as the ship ( the organization ) is going down financially sinking deeper and deeper into it's own criminality and malaise , corruption, and scandals. Pretty weird scene

For the same reason human beings have always surrendered their well being to religion.
Life takes a lot of critical thinking to cope with effectively. That's too much work for some, much less coping with death, loss, poverty, pain, depression, ill health, etc.
The religions promise escape from all that - all you have to do is sacrifice THIS life.
A born again friend told me "this is just practice for the real life in heaven with the father." She also said the Bush administrations were good honest men because they were Christian.
They really do give their minds up to be controlled. The JWs throw their families under the bus by shunning, and helping cover up child abuse for the selfish desire to cheat death.
For the same reason they fork over the money - to buy their way to "paradise"
I just don't know how they can really believe the bullshit.

Focusing on how twisted their religion is does not address a very scary problem - anger and resentment toward the West, especially the US.
Check out the various polls done on world's opinion of USA. And polls done in different time periods. Right now the most disapproving countries are in the middle east. Previous time periods correlate to where the US was "helping".
Their countries have been torn apart and they know darn well it's not for their "freedom" but for their petroleum.
And the stupid terrorists are attacking the general public - if they were so brave or had their wits about them at all wouldn't they go after the war profit corporates?

Wife and I were talking about this - it's just another disgusting way violence is done in the name of religion and in the name of screwed up belief systems which has happened for thousands of years. " Religious " people feel oppressed and desperate over thousands of years be it the Inquisition, the Crusades , the American Revolution, then they take their aggressions out in violent ways. It's disgusting. I get sick and tired of Muslims, Jehovah's Witnesses, Scientologists, Christians or whatever religion it is coming on the media and denying criminal conduct whether it's murder, child abuse, and then claiming that "really our faith teaches peace and love and tolerance . " Not true at all .
Muslims for thousands of years since Mohammed have fostered violence against the alleged damned " infidels " in the middle east. Violence has been a way of their culture for centuries . So it stands to reason that when America entered into the picture attempting to get certain " resources " over there- I suppose the Muslims weren't going to take it lying down. So the chickens come home to roost - so to speak. It's still evil, doesn't make it right- but it's a fact of life that for every action there is an opposite reaction. And innocent victims like the 14 people murdered are the ones who get caught in the crosshairs and pay for all this religious bigotry.
These belief systems teach bigotry, intolerance , superiority and fosters barbaric attitudes within it's members. And I'm talking about belief systems within MANY different religions- Muslims, Jehovah's Witnesses, Scientologists, and Christians. If you really think about it - America , the U.S, was allegedly touted as the " home of the brave, and land of the free ". Uh-huh. Try explaining that to the thousands of indigenous Native American people who lived on the U.S. continent for centuries until they got murdered, pillaged, raped by the U.S. cavalry in the hundreds and thousands losing their home and land in the name of what ? " Religious freedom " ? Bullshit. I'm sure the Native Americans in the 18th and 19th centuries looked at the White Europeans as " terrorists " as well. It's important to put everything in perspective - depending on what vantage point you are coming from and what you are experiencing in life.
Bottom line is all I'm saying is this violence shit has been happening for centuries, it's sick, it's twisted and disgusting - but we have the oppressive powers of political powers, religions, and the abuse of power resulting in oppression of the masses to thank for much of the chaos. The " I'm right - and you should not exist " attitude has fostered the senseless killing of millions of innocent lives through thousands of years. We individually have to take care of each other as friends, families, and in our own neighborhoods to protect ourselves from psycho groups that have their own agenda's . The surprise of it all- is you never know for sure who can fall into the " psycho groups ". One reason caution is in order. Take care all, hug your wives and kids this weekend
