I'm a cynical, sarcastic and curmudgeonly old bastard most of the time.
by nicolaou inbut as i move into my early 50's i find i'm more and more comfortable in my thick, leathery hide.. please get it into your thick skull's that i don't insult or make snarky comments with the intent of hurting anyone's feelings.
that being said, if your precious feelings are hurt it's probably your fault for being a prissy, over sensitive drama queen who can't defend his argument.. i do actually love you all, it's just that most of the time you spineless pussies really get on my nerves!.
good god i feel better for that!

Hey Nic- So are you telling me that you are being christened as the board's new Farkel since we lost him a couple years ago ? We could use a crusty curmudgeon like him around here. God I miss that guy ! Farkel was a good friend and I had lunch with him on several occasions. A little sarcasm goes a long way sometimes into shocking people into reality . Carry on bro. Peace out , Mr. Flipper -

Silent And Sweet Rebellion Going On Within JW Organization!
by lsw1961 inafter 1975, the vast majority remained as though nothing has happened.
but some left the organization.
however, there arose a third category who did not leave the organization, but brought a new view into their heart: jws are right in their core cause (gods kingdom as the solution to mankinds problems) but may or may not be right in their supplementary teachings, hence are not bothered about changes happening in this unimportant area..

ISW 1961- I dare you to bring your quoted views of Jehovah's Witnesses beliefs to your local body of elders - and see how they respond. I believe you'll be staring down the barrel of a judicial committee shortly. You are living in a dream world if you think the WT Society and Jehovah's Witnesses can be reformed. I guess denial is bliss, eh ? Peace out, Mr. Flipper -

JWs have more good points than bad
by lsw1961 in1) many who were on the destructive path have been transformed by their teachings (this includes me who was once vicious, and presumptuous and atheistic).
2) equal monthly pay to all members of the bethel community regardless of whether they are bc members or sweepers.
this is something that still remains as an unattainable dream for the world.

Isw1961 - welcome.
I hope that you will do more research on this religion before you get in too deep.
Your marriage, children and friendships will be in danger and this is no exaggeration.
The corruption is terrible.
I was never a jw but have a lot of inlaws in this church. Their mean spirited hypocritical behavior has been so much worse than what I observed in other religions, excepting Scientology and Moonies. Jws are pretty similar to those but disguise it better.
That is what they do best - put on an innocent appearance to outsiders.

ATACROSSROADS- I'm so sorry that you have such caustic and poisonous JW relatives. I have some as well who would probably just as soon see me dead and thank " Jehovah " for it. Try to remember they are just a bunch of mind controlled jack-asses repeating the company line of WT leaders. They are in the wrong- not us. Please know and be aware that we are here for you, O.K. ? Hang in there, Peace out, Mr. Flipper -

Too Much Discontent in Congregation Part 1
by Simon Templar ini am seeing and hearing many, many long-time jws openly expressing problems with either the watchtower society itself, the publications, changing doctrine, incorrectly living their lives as a result of bad doctrine, the behavior of the boe and other related things.
i will share some of these things in several posts, because there are just too many of them.
the complaints that i hear from publishers and pioneers are many.

SIMON, thanks for giving us this information. With the WT Society cutting back construction of kingdom halls, laying off Bethel members and special pioneers, cutting back the magazines, and generally requiring more donations from congregations - I believe we will hear more and more complaints from JW's in the next few years.
STEVE 2- It's true that JW's have complained before about elders, but mostly in private as I recall when I used to be a JW 13 years ago. NOW It seems rank & file JW's are more OPENLY expressing their dissatisfaction about elders to others in the congregation which used to be a big " no-no ". But let's face it- with ALL of the shit being thrown on top of JW's from the WT leaders nowadays - a person in time can't stay buried under the shit - they have to crawl out of it or start slinging it back at elders in time. I hope the leaders of this organization get so buried in excrement that they can't escape the consequences themselves

ISW- Apparently you live in a " dream world " a " utopia " which will never happen. You stated that when you had questions and doubts you mentioned them to the elders they told you to " wait on Jehovah " ? I'm afraid you're going to have an awfully long wait my friend. It's not Jehovah that makes the decisions and WT policy for WT leaders - it's their corporate WT attorney's and the governing body and writing committee that creates those policies.
Look- Here's the deal please do research and inform yourself about the criminal hiding of child abuse within the JW organization that WT leaders are currently doing. Perhaps then you wouldn't be so supportive of their teachings if you REALLY knew what's going on behind the scenes. 99 % of JW's don't know what WT leaders are really up to.
Please google WT Society child abuse Gilbert Lopez case - and you'll see that he was molested by an elder whom the WT Society appointed as an elder with full knowledge that he had molested 7 other JW children. The judge in that case requested GB member Gerrit Losch to testify on the stand as to the policies of the WT Society in how they handle child abuse. He REFUSED to testify . The judge requested the WT Society to provide a list of names of 23,000 JW pedophiles that WT Society has on a computer database file who still attend at their meetings. WT Society REFUSED to hand over that list of names to the courts. The judge then slapped the WT Society with contempt of court and ordered them to pay 13.5 million $$$$$ to the victim Gilbert Lopez .
And you say that this is the organization that you are supporting ? You are supporting a criminal organization my friend . No amount of seemingly " good " things they do can make up for the criminal conduct of aiding and abetting and hiding child molesters from the law. If you cannot SEE this- then you are just as guilty as WT leaders and complicit with them in their criminal actions because you support them. Think about it

Letter to be read at meeting this week about the downsize
by dropoffyourkeylee ina family member who is a bethelite informed me today that there is a letter to be read soon ( this week or next) concerning the downsizing.
so probably someone who has their midweek meeting early in the week will be able to fill in the details.

SIR 82- What I meant by HUGE wasn't that it will cause the JW's to change- however - it will get them to talking about the layoffs in a way that might get them to thinking with their non-cult minds if just for a minute causing some angst within themselves . I mean hell- if the child abuse lawsuits haven't changed them I don't think this will - but JW's love them a good rumormongering . So it will be huge in that it gets them talking about it all over the planet. I believe that is what I meant -

I haven't attended in about 13 years- but this will be HUGE if this downsizing is announced at regular congregation meetings. Oh of course the fanatic JW's will still make excuses for it like " getting more service time in " etc. - however- many JW's that are doubting the WT leaders sincerity at present will wonder WTF ? It will make them nervous and as all good JW's do- they will start talking among themselves about the cutbacks creating a self inflicting rumor mill of paranoia running around on the Internet, jw.org , blogs, tweeting, texting . I can see the rumor mill getting ready to amp up any day now. If you are a JW - it's what you do - gossip and spread rumors -

Wow. I haven't attended in over 13 years - but this sounds like big time extortion of rank & file publishers to me ! Without any real proof of these alleged " expenses " - I wish to hell some " conscious class elders " who know TTATT would ream these WT leaders a new a-hole and sue for these supposed " expenses ". If you are out there and reading this - DO IT ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper -

Brooklyn Bethel Tours Through The Roof
by freemindfade inwas speaking with someone last night who just recently toured the us bethel's.
the brooklyn tour i heard was awful, very limited and disappointing and conducted by a local pioneer and not even a bethelite.
well from what they are telling the folks on the tour since the tm3 bit encouraging (guilting) people about going to disneyland on vacation when you haven't visited bethel, monthly tours went from 6000 to 16000!

This is so cool. Let's ratchet up the old " fear & guilt " in the rank & file ( Thanks Tony Morris III ) and chastise them for going to Disneyland ! Pretty good. Then they'll get to visit an " empty Bethel " accompanied by a struggling regular pioneer trying to get his time in. I swear to God you cannot make this stuff up- WT leaders are SO weird. THEY are the ones who will cause this organization to collapse all on their own by their idiot actions. They don't even NEED our help as EX-JW's ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
