  the reaction to it was quite negative but i have to admit that the title of that thread was intriguing to me.

  If Ray Franz was planning to betray the Watchtower and to write a book, even better in my opinion. I only hope there are more planning to do the same thing.

  The watchtower is a despicable organization which causes a great deal of harm. I'd lie to them in a New York minute.

  A lot of successful revolutions succeeded because the initial activities were subversive.

  John Freaking Lee Hooker was a JW ? What's this world coming to ? Weird. He must have not been a practicing JW or perhaps a closet JW , or an ex-JW who still believed in the illusions. Who knows ? Still- I loved the man's music. I'll try to forget he had a JW connection. Thanks for this bit of " lemon juice " in my wound information. LOL. Now when I think of John Lee this thought of him being a JW will creep into my head. Thanks loads. It's cool. I'll get over it. LOL

  I'm sick of...

  i'm sick of.... ...having an elder i barely know invite himself over to my house, and bring another asshole elder with him, you know, to "see how i'm doing" f-ck them.

  ...having same elder with all insincerity approach me at the beeting and before inviting himself over, ask, "how are you doing?

  " then when i say everything is great, go ahead and invite them selves over anyway.

  FREEMINDFADE- I understand your frustration bro. JW's are good at ( and so are elders ) at not honoring personal boundaries that we have. They feel entitled to know everything about us- which kind of T.P. we use , if we masturbate or not, how our marriages are doing ( especially if we don't attend meetings ) , I mean- it never stops. It's ridiculous how nosy they are.

  It's really none of their business. One thing you might do is text these elders before they come over to your house and say, " I appreciate your concern, but I'm doing fine. " And hang up if it's on the phone or just ignore further inquiries. When I first stopped attending meetings back in 2003 and the elders kept trying to contact me, I told them on the phone, " I have nothing to talk about with you, it's all been said. " Then I hung up the phone on them. They only tried contacting me once or twice after that and I did the same thing. Then they finally stopped.

  You need to NOT feel guilty about saying NO to them. They can't do anything to you if you give them no power over you. Or give them the silent treatment. They will give up in time. And you may want to let your wife know that you don't need to talk to the elders either so you get her on YOUR side - at least somewhat on your side so she'll respect your wishes to NOT talk with the elders. Then she'll be respecting your personal boundaries as well. Just a few things I can think of here. Take care friend, we'll talk soon

  Extreme emotions re today's watchtower

  i was supposed to attend the meeting today, one of my once a month duties for the sake of my family and my fade.

  i read the wt and i just can't stomach going.... what this wt does is again and again reiterate that only jws will survive the coming destruction and that they should be happy about this and raise ourselves erect...eg:.

  we cannot expect that many people will suddenly convert to true christianity.

  Holy shit - these people are scary.

  I've never been a jw, stopped going to Catholic church at 11 years old (when mom got tired of fighting about it.) Not religious at all but know enough to "do the right thing". I had thought the Catholics were hypocrites until I learned about the jws.

  When I first read this I thought it was a parody.

  When I first started learning about the whole watchtower trip I asked Flipper why they call themselves Christian because any Christians I've known, including Catholics, seem to have a main goal of helping others and being kind. The witnesses are downright harsh and mean.

  I decided that for the watchtower, Christianity is just a marketing tool to suck in the public.

  They are so f****d up and selfish. They will throw their friends and families under the bus so they can cheat death and live forever. Then look down their noses at the "worldlies".

  Yes this is nauseating.

You mean the " virgin like " anointed ones named Geoff Jackson, Anthony Morris 3, and Stephen Lett and other GB members who poo-poo the idea that THEY the GB are covering over the horrific sexual child molestation by pedophiles within their " earthy sanctuary "?

  Jackasses. At least the Catholic pope apologized to Catholic child abuse victims !   Sexual assault I believe by a JW member Santa Ana Calif

  the news this morning, santa ana man arrested for molesting three young girls.. he used his 6 year old daughter to arrange play dates with the other girls.. they showed the kh and stated he was a member of the church.

  to find any other info on the case, not sure if he was a jw.. his name jesus agullary, not sure if that's the correct spelling..

  It's just disgusting- this has to stop. But it won't. The WT Society will continue making excuses for JW pedophiles and child molesters. If I lived in the Santa Ana area I'd make some billboards up and picket downtown Santa Ana with a sign that reads " Jehovah's Witnesses Protect Child Molesters " and hand out news releases
