FREEMINDFADE- Extremely well put my friend. Awesomely expressed ! I second your comments. Freedom of mind and freedom to grow is a wonderful thing indeed that we can enjoy as a life experience through our whole life until we die. Having escaped from a high control organization- I can vouch that the freedom I've had these last 12 years has allowed me to pursue beautiful things in my life that I wouldn't have pursued due to time constraints of the JW cult. Keep on keeping on friend ! Sending you a PM to links to my new music ! Check it out when you get some time ! Take care. Peace out. Mr. Flipper -

JUST HUMAN- Hi there ! Nice to have you back. I agree with what VIDIOT said, you won't KNOW " trapped " until you go back. I'd avoid going back like it's the bubonic plague- but it's your life and your decision friend. Many times we think family and friends will treat us differently with more respect when we get back in- many times they'll still look at us as inferior or " lesser " than them. I've been through that experience of reinstatement years ago - and I experienced that treatment- then I just became inactive for good 12 years ago- best decision I ever made. But what's good for one person may not be best for someone else. You just need to make a list of the positives versus the negatives and see what you're willing to live with, or live without. Hang in there, we are here for you always -

I almost gave up today except for a girl her tried to throw herself infront of two cars.............
by umbertoecho inthis may sound insane but i literally have blood on my hands as i have just come home from a counselling session that went wrong...i wanted to collate all that has happened and record it...hospital policy is against it.
i said "what am i alive for then if not to tell the truth" she tut tutted and i walked out sadly in despair.. when i got to the ground floor there was a young girl screaming her head off.
she was afraid, that is all she was...........afraid.

UMBERTOECHO- You ARE a true hero. You are a beautiful soul for what you did. I'm proud to call you a friend on this board and elsewhere- even though we've never met. You are the kind of person that will always have somebody's back in a dark alley somewhere- the world NEEDS more of these kind of people ! Keep the great work up ! And if you find out how this young lady is doing- please keep us in the loop . O.K. ? As Zoos alluded to - keep listening to Pink Floyd and soothing music, drink a Scotch or three and try to relax on your down time when you aren't working or saving the people on this planet. Great job my friend -

Nearly Killing My Mother Wasn't Enough !
by cookiemaster inas some of you might have read last week, my mother had extremely low hemoglobin and without it, she would have died.
i have somehow managed to bring her to reason and accept the transfusion.
it saved her life.

O.K. Cookiemaster Mr. Flipper here I think I found the Docbob letter on his site I hope this copies and pastes to here : http://www.docbob.org/wordpress/letter-2 .
This is the legal letter format I used to overturn my possible disfellowshipping in 2006 . It threatens the local elders with a lawsuit as well as the WT Society from your attorney if they announce that you or your mom are DFed and that you will sue them for slander and defamation of character if they proceed. It's a long read but bottom line is it looks official, gives you clout as from your attorney and you just fill in your names and give it to the elders. Usually they WILL back off, or will be instructed to back off from WT legal. WT legal has enough child abuse lawsuits to shake a fist at - so they probably will drop your mom's case because they don't want to deal with a " tiger by the tail " syndrome. It did work for me- I had my " dfing " overturned and won my appeal.
Important points to note if you use this letter though are these points that several posters already made here :
Wing Commander stated " deny, deny, deny. " That is true, your mom can say the doctors forced it on her, or she can just say she was drugged, semi conscious, didn't know it was happening - or just deny it happened. And make the ELDERS supply proof that it happened. Don't admit to anything. Better yet- if you think the elders even HAVE proof- find out where they got their " evidence " . They MAY be bluffing that they know just on the fact that your mom's doing better and just ASSUMING she went ahead and got the blood transfusion. So the doctors may NOT have told them anything. Do your homework. Doc Bob's letter covers the " slander & defamation of character " issue.
Kaik's suggestion on " reporting it to authorities " is a good piece of advice. I would go steps further than just reporting it to police- I'd report it to an Ombudsman who advocates for fair treatment for older people in your community and then get the Ombudsman working in harmony with the Social Services department in your community banging the drum loudly about these WT elders abusive treatment of your mom. WT Society doesn't like bad PR, so it may make them back off if WT legal finds out.
Toes Up's suggestion to " put it in writing WHY she's being DFed and send a copy to your familie's attorney " is a VERY important suggestion. Similar advice in Doc Bob's letter - but do this as a preemptive strike before the elders try to meet with your mom. And tell your mom to REFUSE to meet with them at all until you get your legal ducks in a row. And don't meet with the 3 elders in her congregation AT ALL , not until down the road you appeal the decision and are forced to meet with the appeal committee because THOSE elders would be selected from neutral congregations with less prejudice towards your mom. Just some advice. That worked well for me.
Vidiot's statement that, " it's true that our " private details " aren't the elders business " - Vidiot is correct, it is not the elders business- however- they will continue to MAKE our private lives their business unless we fight fire with fire.
So these are just some things I wanted to mention having stared down the belly of the WT Society and elders two headed monster before. If you want to chat or talk some more- please feel free to PM me, O.K. bud ? Give our love to your mom my friend, she needs all of true love she can get right now

I believe the best course is to threaten to sue the elders personally if they df you or your mom, or if they continue to harass your mom. It's about the only thing that will get these reptiles' attention.
It worked for Flipper when they incessantly hassled him some years back.
When Flip gets home I'll ask him to look at this thread. Maybe he can help with that.
Wishing you the best - you and your parents deserve some peace.

MARY- Like Lisa Rose, my wife and I live in California out west where the drought has been. We live in the Sierra Nevada mountains where it can get up to 90 degrees in summer but usually in the high 70's to high 80's - good for growing. Although the drought has hit us- we have our vegetable gardens on drip systems mostly and we water pretty deeply at least every 3 to 4 days so it goes deep.
My son Flipper Jr. taught us quite a lot as he graduated from a permaculture gardening college course and has a degree in permaculture. WE took out some medium sized oak trees that were blocking sunlight from the garden and it helped tremendously as we've had a banner year for Zucchini squash, cherry tomatoes ( the one cherry tomato bush is about 8 feet tall ! ) Valencia tomatoes, black krim tomatoes, we had in early summer a great strawberry, blueberry, and huge raspberry crop as well. WE have a small peach tree we planted in April which is doing well and a volunteer nectarine tree as well, also a plum tree.
The key my son taught me is a proper mix in the soil of compost and the natural dirt and adding some horse, bat, or chicken manure to the mix, not too much. But about maybe 30 % to your compost and natural dirt, once you get that mixed in deep about 2 feet or so- then you have a proper PH in the soil to grow things- at least out here in California. We used chicken manure this year. Having great soil is a HUGE part of it I'm told by Flipper Jr. Many parts of the planet have crappy soil, so it requires preparation and hard work- but believe me the fruitage and vegetables are worth it when harvest comes. And for certain vegetables to grow they need a lot of sunlight as well. Some more than others- like squash, tomatoes - but onions, chard, lettuce, kale can't handle TOO much sun as they wilt. Those tend to be fall winter into spring crops anyway, where tomatoes and squash are summer crops.
So yeah, have fun ! Gardening is cool , a fun hobby and you save money growing your own fruits and vegetables ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Child Sex Abuse in The Jesus people cult
by LisaRose ininteresting article about a small religious cult in chicago.
a man who grew up in the cult and suffered abuse set about to make a documentary about the religion.
he didn't set out to make it about sex abuse, but in interviewing people he found out a lot of people had been molested as well.

This is an important topic regarding child abuse needing to be bumped up. The similarities that are in some of these cults are amazing concerning the hiding of child abuse. It's a crime happening in our society way too much which needs to stop and society in general needs to make people more aware of it to help victims. This man was really brave in exposing this within the Jesus cult. Thanks for posting this Lisa -

The worst thing about this is that there are people who really need the services and have nowhere else to turn.
They will be put on waiting lists while these conscience-lacking jerks soak the system.
