Johnny Carson was the best in who I liked. As Desirous mentioned he had such a quick wit and quick humor you didn't need to " think " if he made you laugh- you just did. Carson's guests were incredible Don Rickles, Rodney Dangerfield, lots of off the wall comedians as well which kept the show interesting and moving. I think Jimmy Fallon is really good and in time if he sticks around he may one day get near to what Carson was- but I doubt it. Carson was an original , don't think we'll see another talk show host like him -

JWs and their views on Sex
by campaign of hate inin the past i have read on this forum that the wt have a say in the "bedroom" of couples.
i thought that was a bit overkill at first, but recently i have come to conclusion that this is true.. the control administered by the wt cooperation on ones sex life is not on only intrusive, its damaging.
they control every aspect of ones thought and action, thus leading most down a path that said corporation wants them to tread.. this path is to get married young, and then eternal loyalty the the organisation.. so how can an organisation force you to get married young?.

The intrusion into our sex lives that comes from the time we get into the JW cult until we finally exit the cult is absolutely ridiculous. When I was a 13 year old teenager my then elder dad sat me down with another " fatherless boy " in the congregation sharing the stupid WT article in 1973 titled, " Breaking Free from Self Abuse " . It was like I said to myself in my own thoughts, " hell yes I masturbate and it feels good ! What the hell is so " abusive " about it " ? I mean this wasn't the freaking 1800' s where people still felt you go " blind " if you masturbate - right ? But the archaic attitudes and stuffy , prudish WT Society views drove me crazy.
Like many other born-in JW's I married quite young to my JW ex-wife at age 19, she was barely 18 years old. Jeez, I barely shaved for Christ sakes. But the reason we married young was because we dated for almost 3 years and we were busting at the seams wanting to have sex - so in JW land it IS the compelling reason that teenage marriages happen. You'll get DFed if you experiment first before marriage- so a lot of young JW marriages happen for all the wrong reasons. Then you get told that the " threefold cord " is there- Jehovah the perv is sitting up on your bedpost making sure that you and your wife don't orally please each other otherwise you'll be considered " unclean " . Remember how back in Leviticus in the Bible they even sent women away to go wash and be considered " unclean " during their monthly cycle ? I mean- anything regarding sex between men and women is considered " dirty " or " unclean ". It's so weird.
So fast forward to right before my JW wife and I broke up. After 19 years of marriage we experimented with the joys of oral gratification of giving to each other, me more to her . She willingly participated . Then she felt guilty about it and without telling me - called the elders to come " talk " to us about it . Then she proceeded to call my good JW buddies from my past telling them that I made her feel " dirty " like I had molested her . But it was mutual- she was a willing participant - yet she lied and said I forced it on her. The elders told her that she needed to go to a counselor as she HAD been molested by her JW uncles as a young teenager. She looked the elders in the eyes with a hateful look and said, " I don't NEED professional counseling ! It's my stepmom or my husband who need counseling ! I'm fine. " With a crazed look in her eyes. Fortunately we divorced within a year and at the age of 40 I was able to resume a normal sex life again AFTER leaving the JW organization.
I will never, ever allow an organization to dictate my sex life again. It literally destroyed my first marriage with the WT Society's intrusive, " dirty " views of sex. Sex is a beautiful thing between people who care for one another. It's natural, doesn't have to be complicated. I swear to God- I could write a book with how this organization abused me and thousands of others. No more

BLACK WOLF- Welcome to the board here ! Nice to hear from you, you are among friends who understand. Do you have any non-JW relatives or close friends with nice, caring parents who understand your situation who might give you emotional support ? It would be good to surround yourself with those authentic, truly caring people as much as possible.
I realize at age 15 you are still living in your parents home- but it's never too early to plan on your future. As some mentioned start saving your money, get a part time job if you are able in your time off from school and plan on a college education. If you are getting assistance with your anorexia problem that's a good thing, keep getting help there either physically from a doctor or counseling to assist you. And keep listening to music my friend ! Music is a healer , I play music and I listen to it ! It's helped me through some hard times indeed. Just remember we are all here for you as a support, O.K. ? Hang in there, take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

The Thrill Is Gone and so is B.B. King- the REAL King
by flipper ini know there's another thread about this specially talented musician's passing- but this guy was a torch carrier from the old bluesmen like muddy waters, howlin wolf, john lee hooker, and lightnin' hopkins who made chuck berry millions of $$$$$$ and collaborated with rock n rollers like bono of u2 .
these old bluesmen from the 1940's deserve all the credit for the babv that the blues ended up giving birth to- rock and roll music.
any comments are appreciated and welcome for b.b., music, or the blues in general pour your heart out.

BROKEBACK WATCHTOWER- True indeed. I have B.B.'s Anthology CD with about 40 songs on it, some of them live performances as well. A truly soulful , magnificent performer and musician. Thanks for the you tube my friend.
ORPHAN CROW- Indeed Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee were a couple more old blues performers who were magnificent. Thanks for the you tube ! I too am a HUGE blues fan ! Been listening to a lot of Peter Green's guitar work the original guitarist of the original Fleetwood Mac as a blues group in the 1960's lately. Cool stuff.
LV101- Wow, so he lived and died in Vegas ? I didn't know that, cool.
BREAKFAST of CHAMPIONS- I'm glad to hear that you saw B.B. perform live too. I got that privilege in the year 2000 when he performed in the Sacramento , CA. area . Really soulful performer.
TWITCH- Indeed, a true musical icon is dead. The true King is dead. He was an original for sure

Oh my holy Fuc---- God. Have the creators at Disney Studio's taken over the WT Society Writing or Creativity Department ? These guys HAVE to be dropping acid to make these kinds of terminally weird cartoons. This is so creepy. So is Lett himself. Peace out, Mr. Flipper -

OTWO, this dude's about as clueless as they come to ask you that question. Working with you, anyone with a fraction of a brain would know the kind of person you are.
Having been out of religion, God, and other superstitions for my whole adult life I can't count the times I've gotten that attitude and it still really pisses me off.
On a brighter note, see you soon!

"Be Kind to the Fornicators in the Congregation!" -- New August Watchtower
by FusionTheism inhave you noticed the article entitled "watch your associations in these last days" in the new august 2015 study watchtower?.
unless i'm reading it wrong, or somehow misinterpreting it, it is saying that we should be kind to intentional breakers of god's laws inside and outside the congregation, including fornicators, but that we must not be close associates with them.. are they already preparing for a shift in their disfellowshipping practices?.
here are the relevant paragraphs:.

My first thought on seeing the title "Be kind to fornicators" was that what they really mean is don't speak out about all the pedophiles.

OTWO- What an absolutely ignorant co-worker to have to work with ! You were probably much more patient with this guy than I would have been. But I get it- you were kind of his captive audience since you had to be there working around the guy. Oh my god. I think the brain cells of most religious people have definitely been placed up on a high shelf somewhere to gather dust and cobwebs. For him to tell you that you might commit murder due to not being religious is quite insulting indeed. You handled it well my friend- better than I would have. I might have hauled off and punched the guy -

New video telling the R&F to be generous
by Splash inbro sanderson has a 7 minute video up on their streaming website called "be willing to open your hand".. in it he tells us not to be "tight fisted" or "stingy" and later "regardless of how much we have or how little we have, we'll find something within our power to be able to do".
we have the responsibility to imitate jehovah's generosity.. there's a bit about giving to one another when we see the need, which is nice, then he drops in how 20 years ago the canada branch committee asked the bethel family for donations to the disaster relief fund, and promptly raised over $10,000.
i think that's pretty good going for those under a vow of poverty.. "the generous person will prosper" he says, then illustrates this using a made up story.

What an ignorant illustration. That flaxseed in the hand illustration is very weak. They'll say anything to scrounge a buck or three out of JW's. Amazing
