Since You've Left The Organization Have You Turned Into A "Bad" Boy or Girl?
by minimus inthe witnesses say that if you leave the religion you will become a very vile person.
you will probably get vd.
you will get into drugs and booze, your life will go to hell.. personally, i've been pretty much the same guy although i would now be viewed as a "fornicator".

JW directives you thought were downright stupid
by fallen_princess ini remember one time when i was about 17 years old, i wanted to arrange a costume party for the young brothers in the congo around my age.
i suggested it to one of my friends and was told that the elders had advised against it because it could be construed as pagan and masks have their roots in demonism.
of course, i was never shown any biblical proof of this but just that response took the wind out of my sails and i decided to just not go through with it.

Hey Aquagirl - I remember red shoes being a nono as well, I can even remember the Br. mentioning that from the platform!
That's interesting, if you heard it to then it must've been in some kinda elders letter to the congregation or something.

just save every other seat!!!
by oompa ini was just reading a funny thread posted by fallen_princess about stupid jw directives and something about seat saving came up....it reminded me of how i foiled the crime of seat saving at conventions....i would just save every other seat and it usually worked saving every third seat....i mean who walks in and picks a seat where you have to sit next to sombody else??
?...............i loved breaking rules i guess..................oompa.

I can recall several occasions at the District Assembly when my mother was looking for seats and everyone was saving for someone else, so each day of the assembly my mother just said when the people come we'll leave, needless to say, not one person showed up for these saved seats!

I know a sister that grew up in the Baltimore area in the 1970's, she told me that at wedding receptions there Jdubs couldn't play records !! One of the dumbest rules I've ever heard, there can't possibly be a scripture to back that one up !

Jolette - Are you aware that they were raised here on the lower east side (NYC) in the Cult by their father? Their mother was never a witness, smart women (aside from the fact that she had 10 kids).

Do they announce when a pioneer steps down at your hall?
by Evidently Apostate induring the announcements they stop to bring up an elder and he states " hairy mary is no longer a pioneer" (not a real name) in a tone very similar to a disfellowshipping.
i have heard it twice now but only from the hall my wife attends now.. anyone else hear of this?.
