"Johnny The Bethelite" FRAUD!
by IMPOSTORS ARE DOOMED ini was just over on topix.com, when i see this to a "rick fearon"(?
) kool-aid man thread.
someone noted that rick fearon lost all credibility over his "johnny the bethelite" nonsense.

I must say though that I guess I was one of the few that thought Johnny was actually calling from Bethel until somebody who knows about Johnny's whereabouts told me where he really is and this person informed Rick as well.

What makes leg warmers attractive on a woman?
by miseryloveselders inwhats the science on leg warmers?
why is that i can see a woman with socks on and it does absolutely nothing for me, but i see leg warmers, and i'm intrigued?.

Well, since leg warmers haven't officially been in "heavy rotation" since the 80's, good luck on walking down the street and actually finding someone wearing some and "gettin' your freak on". . . !

I'm in agreement with Mrs. Jones first comment on the subject.

Believe it or not, here in New York City in the mid 80's, early one Saturday morning (headlines on The Daily News next day was " Did ya Feel It") not living far from JFK airport I thought it was a low plane, but the field service meeting was at our house that Saturday morning so the Bro. told my mom that it was on the radio it was indeed a tremor or earthquake, and just from the look on my mothers face, it was one of her many "the end is near" looks as she confirmed the story, by the way, I was the only one that actually felt the tremors, both my parents slept right through it!

About 10 or more years ago a few brothers in several congregations here in Queens, NY got involved in some kinda insurance business, turned out it was a TOTAL FRAUD, a brother or two even was removed from being elder ( I can't remember exactly but I think someone was disfellowshipped as well) needless to say the ones that they ripped off were the Bros and Sis from their own congregations !
If the Jdubs run to this insurance schemed as well, they deserved to be ripped off as well, which will probably happen anyway.

Well, since "don't go" isn't an option, I feel your pain !
Haven't been myself in more than twenty years, clearly remember telling my parents I'm going home, and left halfway thru the program, did that on several occasions.

Your favorite Chapter from 'Crisis of Conscience?'
by Joliette ini would have to say that my favorite chapters are 'points of decision' and the 'aftermath' chapter.. what about yours?.
-
ShirleyW
Well, I don't know what Chapter it's in, but the part about Malawi fuckin' blew my mind ! How the brothers in Mexico I believe it was (could be wrong been awhile since I read the book) got a so called "pass" , but our faithful brothers in Malawi got there black behinds beaten and torn apart was really one of the most impactful chapters of the whole book! Especially since I remember them being mentioned in the late 60's in the closing comments at the Ministry School when I was kid !

Charlie Sheen
by mrsjones5 ini came rather late to watching the show "two and a half men" and have been watching mostly the reruns, which i have enjoyed immensely (the story lines are funny).
i try to catch the first runs when i can.
to me this show is really a homage of charlie sheen's life.

He DEFINITELY has gone off the deep end, but according to the snippets of all these interviews I've seen that he's been doing, he has yet to see himself that he's gone off the deep end !
