"Outing" yourself

has anyone ever used this website as the vehicle to "out" themselves from the wt?

would the mods allow this to happen, or would they quash the attempt as soon as it started.

Just in Feb 08, a jwd member was outed, family turned him in but they (elders)had

printed pages & pages of his comments when he got to his Jc elder meeting.

Do the religious have higher morals than the non-religious?

ok, i was going to ask whether christians have higher morals, but i thought that other religions have the same kind of morals too.. when i look at those who sincerely follow their religion, i think that they do have a higher morality than those who do not follow some sort of scriptural guidelines.. this is not to say that the religious have a monopoly on morality, or to say that some religious people are not hypocritical in doing what they say, rather than what they do.

but as a whole it seems to me that someone with a religious upbringing has higher standards than someone without.. now some would say that higher standards or lower standards are defined by society, so therefore by whose definition do they have higher morals.

this would be a fair assumption.

I believe that there is no such thing has morality. We are animals and we learn how to coexist by the reaction other people have towards our actions. Religious people act according to a code that evolved through that process and through superstition, ex.; lest sacrifice an animal to calm the god of thunder. So no I don't believe religious people have higher morals.

yesterday it was the day of the global inviroment.

as i walked to the street going to work, the main square of the capitol was filled with small children and their teachers with huge paintings, songs, art work with recycled elements demanding a cleaner plannet.

when the old generation will pass those little ones that will take in charge with all the inviromental education they had they will go for a better world.i'm sure about it, you could see it in their small eyes.

I know that we are were we are because of our technology and the way we use oil. If we just stop using oil right now we would kill off a lot of people. I think it would be nice if we were not has dependent on other people and oil to live but we are. It annoys me that I live in a apartment and I have no land. I really depend on other people to produce my food, clothing and to take care of me when I'm sick. That for me is the real problem, I am a comfortable slave.

you don't need to exaggerate the foibles of jws to get the point across that they are not "the truth".

can you state some facts that show that jehovah's witnesses are not "normal' and that their religion is weird and simply abnormal?.

They use Jesus as an example to follow but they don't follow his teachings, ex.: Jesus said not to become like the pharisees and live by a bunch of man made laws. Jesus said to love your enemies but they tell you to shun them. Jesus said to be like the good samaritan ( who was like an "apostate" to the Jews) but they are not allowed to talk to somebody who is DF.

Abortion, smoking and extreme sports or wrong because life is sacred but accepting blood to save a life is wrong because blood symbolizes life and life is sacred.

i think political correctness started the trend of dumbing down.

lowering the bar.

warping the standards.. in every society there are citizens with varying abilities and disabilities.. the natural sorting process is achievement, self-sustaining ability and productivity.. winners vs slackers.

I lived and are living the consequences of a warped sense of self -esteem influence by my environment.

Political correctness bothers me because there is some kind of double standard. You can tell someone that their are small or skinny but you can't tell someone their overweight but being overweight is a lot more damaging for someones health. That is just one example.

I grew up with a false sense of self -esteem, I would get talk down to at every thing I did by my dad, I was laugh at in school and every thing I you like to do or I would think I had a talent for, my dad made sure to crush that little hope I might of have. In the same time I would look at other kids with less talent and much less things to be proud of get the praises or encouragement and end up with a lot more "success".

Sometimes I would have a hard time understanding in class , I would lose my concentration because I was laugh at. I could not and still sometimes have a hard time evaluating my real potential because of all the others around me would receive praises or have "success" for things I believe they did not deserve. So I agree that certain things in our society warp our perception of the reality of our potential.
