  i dont believe much of the societys teachings anymore.

  but theres one thing that i carried with me all my life:

  when everything is false, what is about those stories about demons, seances and all that stuff that is out in the world?

  And thus, the discussion reaches an impass.

  Seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened.

  For those truly interested in knowledge and truth, the answers and proof are there in personal experience. Then and only then can the individual make an informed decision/choice about their spiritual beliefs without having to rely on others spiritual/religious anecdotes, which are akin to "someone who heard of someone who knew someone".

  Stories are still just stories whether they are of gods or demons.

  I don't really think that using the term "demon" is correct. It is a biblical term, many other belief systems past and present have myth about invisible entities good and evil (also relative). It is a mistake to fear evil entities because they are said to feed off of the negative emotional energy.

  I agree that buying a CD and then claiming demon attack is ridiculous. That is what irrational fear can do to you.

  you said you "know" that theres something outthere. can you explain why do you believe that?

  Because of all that I have experienced personally. It is only something you believe fully when you experience it.

  After I left I wanted to find out about all religions because I was stuck in the mind-set of the one true religion. I looked into everything including Satanism. What I found is that if you call it to yourself you will find it. Bad or Good. I think the JW's deny themselves the ability to commune with the holy spirit directly, letting the GB do it for them, even though Jesus said that in the end the true worshipers would worship in spirit and truth. What does it mean to worship in spirit? I think it means each person would have thier own relationship with God, thereby not being dependant on men as a conduit for the holy spirit. After all in the last days there will be many saying I am the way. I think in there group any type of sign or spitirual activity they may encounter would be put down to demonic activity pointing to a scripture ( I can't remember it right now) that talks about how there would be no more kind of miraculous activity towards the end of this system.

  I've now experienced enough to know that there is something out there, but I will never let a man tell me what it is or what it wants. Jesus said the Kingdom of God is within you, we are made in God's image. We inherently Know these things. We all have the same value in God's eyes, no human can judge us no matter what we do. DF'd or not. That has become my core strength over the years and helped me to overcome the total panick I used to feel and neurotic drive to please others.

  If I wanted to find out for myself like the JW's always talk about but never do I would have to overcome my fear of demons. I read all the taboo books and subjects, and watched all the bad movies. The most interesting thing I found was in a book by Alistair Crowley. The famed occultist from the beginning of the 20th century (probably a friend of Russels). In the book "Magick in Theory and Practice" he says how the name Jehovah can be used in magickal rituals. I always remember saying Jehovahs name because we were taught that the demons flee at the mere mention of it. So I thought well if the demons are afraid of the name Jehovah, then how can an occultist (Satanist) who has direct dealing with demons use the name Jehovah in demonic ritual? Wouldn't the occultist want to avoid the use of the name? Woudn't using the name bring some sort of pain to an occultist when uttering it?

  hi everyone, i recently joined this forum as i'm close to being df.

  i am suppose to meet with a judical committee soon but was thinking that i don't want to go through those personal questions that i'm sure the elders would ask.

  does anyone know, is it better to just tell the elders before, say like on the phone, that i want to be df and not go through the committee?

  well as you would have guessed from my name, i am a proud witness and i feel obliged to preach to you about the promises that our wonderful creator, jehovah god, has promised each and every one of us, of any race or background.

  i know that you already know what he has told us through his word, but i am curious to wonder why you have chosen to jump off the narrow road which leads to everlasting life.

  is it because you have had a bad experience in god's organization?

  What will the new WT arragement mean for the meeting & lit arrangements?

  i'm not sure if this has been covered elsewhere, but after hearing the announcement, i got to wondering what affect the new wt distribution arragement may have on the meetings.

  also, is there any chance that they may move to a position of even more 'cloistering' of themselves, saying that only publishers (baptized and unbaptized) can go to the wt study, bookstudy, tms and sm, leaving only the public talk for 'the public' and df'd/da'd ones seeking reinstatement?

  might they move the wt study to some time other than immediately following the public talk?

  cults come and go so do you think the wtbts will eventually come to an end?

  i think about this sometimes and i wonder if i will live to see it.

  the reason why i want it to end is because i don't like the administration.

  It will, but I do not expect it in the near future.

  the end delayed won't be a major issue for hardcore jw . There are about 1.x billion of Chinese atheists to preach to. It takes an average of 4-5 years to convert one of them, so there is still plenty to do in the work of the Lord to justify that the end has not come yet.

  Publishers will be kept busy and away from thinking with more global campaigns, starting with memorial of 2007.

  money is and will be the main issue.

  It will be interesting to see 2014 come and go.

  I agree that it won't be in the near future. All new converts will not be able to look back in the historical record to see the past predictions of the end.

  Why do you think the memorial 2007 will have an influence?

  Sorry, another question... What is 2014?

  according to jw theory all those taking the memorial emblems are part of the body of christ and therefore should participate in the status and functions of the anointed.

  if we are to say that some of these "anointed" are just fruitcakes or spiritually immature, what about all the rest?

  why are they so invisible, nowhere heard or seen contributing to these anointed functions?

  They do? On what basis do you make this assertion?

  And yet I have personally seen one of them (Fred Franz) deliberately refuse to indulge someone (after an international convention talk he gave) in just such an act of acclaim and recognition.

  nor do they wish the threat of a usurpation of their position from others who put their pants on one leg at a time, just as the Gov. Haughty Body does.

  And how do you know what they wish, or do not wish?

  I've never met one of the GB, I do not even know how many there are or their names, but I am still able to tell what kind of people they are because of the positions they hold and the edicts they hand down. I think frannies statements are correct.

  Take the decision (or non decision) about the 2 witness rule, and whether or not the parents of a minor victim of an attack would be allowed to tell the police:
  
  They have for decades knowingly allowed molestation and child abuse inside the organization while making policies deliberately designed to keep it all quiet.
  They will not be swayed by pressure from outside the GB to make any change in policy no matter what may be happening in their congregations to witness children and families. Instead they continue on business as usual while attacking (ad hominem) the whistleblowers while making no answer to the contentions made. Their followers will do what they say or be disfellowshipped. They will not be told they are wrong, they will hold the power over the people forcefully and brutally. Forcefully because they threaten those who question them with DF or DA. Brutally because they now cannot deny they know of the abuse and molestation problem but will make no changes that could alleviate suffering for witness children.
  They obviously think they are superior to not only their followers, but all people on earth. After all they are at the head of Gods only true organization on earth.
  
  In fact "superiority complex" is far to tame to describe what they are. What kind of person will not take advice or make immediate necessary changes in the face of tremendous scandal? A tyrant!
