Hello again, sorry for the absence

hello to all, sorry i haven't been around for a while.

almost lost my hubby last year to illness so i've had limited time on the computer and just tended to log on to do the quiz.

i've just logged back into a few messages.. looking forward to catching up with everyone.

A mother's love

this came on the news yesterday, valentine's day.

parents with two children in the car got stuck in the floods here in australia.

father and the four year old made it to safety but the mother with her baby was caught in the water and left clinging to a tree keeping her baby safe.

Mum's need help with possible pregnancy questions

well as you see from my avatar i already have one, she's about to turn two.

i found out about the pregnancy at just past 4 weeks.

always was clockwork regular, but i'd just had a feeling in myself that month that something was, you know, different but couldn't put my finger on it.

Awake article on official website

well once again my fiance has gone through and cleaned my computer wiping out all the cookies.

as i hadn't saved this site as a favourite i went looking typing in different versions to try and find the website and i stumbled across the official website which is currently spouting an old awake article from 2001 on battered women.. it even went on in another article to talk about a guy who attended catholic church but frequently abused his wife but the moment he came to study with the witnesses it all stopped...... of course they don't mention anything about the frequent abuse that happens in their own congregations.. it annoys me so much that they are such hippocritics.. .

yes it's past midnight and i'm getting melancholy and starting to rehash my life of late.

melancholy yes, but i haven't hit the bottle yet so its not alcoholly.

i use to be based on the nw coast sometimes burnie, sometimes devonport, sometimes i wandered as far a field as sydney.

just wondering if there were any other tasmanians around

Whats the strangest thing you've seen someone get in trouble for?

i remember one windy summer day, after a meeting on sunday morning, i walked out of the hall behind a sister who was part of the church congregation with her two teenage children.

her husband did not attend.

the wind caught her dress unexpectedly and blew it up a'la marilyn monroe and revealed that she was wearing (shock, horror) french knickers...... there were a few murmers behind me which i at the time put down to things like "oh poor girl, so embarrassing".

Query about how they work their numbers

since i have never officially disassociated myself but became inactive and just drifted away does that mean they still count me as one of their numbers in each year book?.

hmmm, never thought of it that way.

if so i am off to write my disassociated letter, but i did think how funny it would be if everyone who was like me suddenly opted out at once and they still counted us until then.

firstly some background.. when i was 21 i went to live in sydney and left my congregation in tasmania.

until then i had never seen the bad side of the borg.

being new in town and staying with my non jw sibling i immediately checked in with the local congregation and soon found a fellow witness to share an apartment with.
