  Need info from elders on elder visits

  i had heard in the past that there are 3-5 questions one is asked that are considered death dealing questions.

  in that they show you don't buy all that they teach and that you have serious doubts and in fact you actually are trying to think for yourself for a change.

  i would appreciate anyone letting me know what those questions were.

  My uncle brought the CO to see me one day (surprise visit) many years ago. I was a single parent with two small children; working full time and missing meetings. The CO started asking me questions about whether I thought the Society was the "truth". I answered the questions very generally and did not get myself DFed or DAed.

  At the time I did not realize what he was getting at. Much later I realized he was trying to get me to admit I did not believe it was the Truth so he could take action against me.

  Last year I had an elder visit while he was in field circus. He did not know I was an x-JW. I hit him with both barrels about the pedofiles. His question to me was did I believe the Society was the "Truth" & God's organization or some such. I just had to laugh. I told him that's what elders say when they want to kick you out. He left shortly.

  If they ask you specific questions like this, remember Theocratic Warfare is appropriate (i.e., if it's okay for them to use it against us, we can use it back to them).

  whiilst at the door a jehovah's witness told me that thousands were getting baptized in japan.... also that they were building many km halls to keep up with growth......... i asked about japan because i was led to belive that the negative growth was unbeliveable................... which is true .................?.

  also did they leave something out of the year book this year ?.

  the same guy that spoke to my mum on the doors yesterday was talking about them in the same catergory , aswell as saying that there are alot of 13 to 15 year old girls hanging around the local night club looking for a one night stands (she should of asked him how he knew about this , is that because he is there ?

  ) his point was is a man of 25 that picks up a 15 year old plastered in makeup at a nightclub a paedophile ?

  which was totally irrelevant to the point she was making about the local ex min servant that had abused his daughters friends in the cong even though he was good friends with thier parents and had known the girls since birth , so did know they were underage .

  Has anyone figured out the U.S. "growth" without Alaska?

  i haven't stopped to really examine this, but i keep hearing that the u.s. figures for .

  3% growth last year included alaska (and hawaii?

  2007- either alaska and u.s. had [a + u] publishers plus growth .

  They did add in Alaska to the 2007 report before figuring the increase.

  On the 2006 Report: Alaska - 2006 Avg Pubs - 2141 US - 2006 Avg Pubs - 1,008,281

  On the 2007 Report: US - 2006 Avg Pubs - 1,010,442

  I have seen somewhere that your fingernails reveal alot about being poisoned.

  See if you can find a lab in your area that will do these tests and take your FIL. They can also take some samples of his hair and test for poisons and drugs.

  i participated in several discussions on this forum regarding the self reported statistics of jehovah's witnesses and the deep fundamental flaws in their methods.

  after arguing with my jw family about these issues, i encountered today a new independant religious survey from the pew forum on religion and public life.

  this survey was huge in scope of test group when compared with other similar surveys, including more than 35,000 u.s. adults.

  When was Alaska added to US for Watchtower statistics?

  in another thread we were reminded that the brooklyn head counters had recently added.

  alaska to the us, instead on having its statistics separate in the yearbook.. could anyone tell us when this happened.

  just wondering if this was the reason for the.

  Alaska, Hawaii and the U.S. are listed separately on the 2006 Service Report.

  On the 2007 Service Report Alaska has disappeared and Hawaii and the U.S. remain listed separately.

  Someone had mentioned this it seems like several months ago. I would assume they added Alaska's numbers to the mainland. (They wouldn't add them to Canada would they?)
