the same guy that spoke to my mum on the doors yesterday was talking about them in the same catergory , aswell as saying that there are alot of 13 to 15 year old girls hanging around the local night club looking for a one night stands (she should of asked him how he knew about this , is that because he is there ?) his point was is a man of 25 that picks up a 15 year old plastered in makeup at a nightclub a paedophile ? which was totally irrelevant to the point she was making about the local ex min servant that had abused his daughters friends in the cong even though he was good friends with thier parents and had known the girls since birth , so did know they were underage . my mum was a bit concerned about the child stood next to this man at the door and what an affect it could have on him hearing some of the things that were said (especially if he was gay )

Depends homosexual is worse if the victim was female and say in their early teens. Though a homosexual pedophile is the worst of the worst.

I suspect that homosexuals are much worse in JWland, because they don't have pedophiles, and if there are some around it's probably the girls fault anyway. Whereas they all know that Satan will use gays to induce otherwise good brothers to go crazy at Bethel.

During one of the big discussion I had with my mother this past week, my mother grouped homosexuality, paedophilia, bestiality and some other thing (cant recall) all in the category of despicability - her point being that the whole paedophile issue was nonsense!

As far as the official JW stance: Goats are anyone not a baptized JW publisher and will be bird food. Sheep are anybody, including homosexuals and pedophiles, who either aren't caught or 'repent' as often as necessary, but continue to be a JW publisher.
They lump things together to see everything as 'sins' that either will or won't be forgiven. They can't comprehend the idea of 'crime', something that can cause permanent harm to innocent people and needs to be punished by a court of law. Any honesthearted thinking individual knows that consenting, adult homosexuals victimize nobody. Pedophiles are criminals that victimize innocent young children or they victimize older children who may appear to be old enough to consent, but are recognized to be too immature to handle the seriousness of sex. The simplistic JW view that everything is black-and-white actually minimizes the seriousness of things like pedophilia... they just need to repent, forget the child, it's no worse than any other form of pornea. NOT
Why not endorse murder? After all, whoever that brother killed now has the wonderful opportunity to be resurrected !!

To be fair to the society they would say that they are as bad as each other and that unless they change their ways they will both be judged as unworthy. The problem comes when the society insists on the two witnesses rule, this makes it very hard for them to get conclusive proof of wrongdoing by a paodophile. A homosexual is much easier to spot and therefor he can be removed easier from the cong.

JWs like their secrets. They like secrets because it allows the appearance of what ever they are trying to front. When the secret of Homosexuality comes out, it just shockes all their contrived sensibilities.
I think the same goes for most other fundy christian groups too. I think they get more bent out of whack over one of their own being gay than they do over child molestation.
