this is probably the first time i've started a thread that hasn't got to do with theology.

lol.. i've been feeling rather hassled lately.

living my life away from home as a fader and getting unwanted calls from my folks.

john 14:12 "most assuredly, i say to you, he who believes in me,the works that i do he will do also;and greater works than these he will do, because i go to my father.13"and whatever you ask in my name, that i will do, that the father may be glorified in the son 14:if you ask anything in my name, i will do it" .

i understand that we ask for our prayers to be answered through jesus name as jesus is the amen.many will give a different answer to this question from the trinitarian/non trinitarian viewpoint.jesus says here that he will answer your prayers if you ask in his name.

does this mean it is ok to request from jesus during the prayer.

but how i see it is it doesn't matter as long as your heart is in the right place.

Jehovahs Witness Joke

i thought it is ironic that the jehovah's witnesses force their members to go door to door throughout the neighborhoods.

and then once a year american's have a tradition where our kids go door to door throughout the neighborhoods on halloween.

but the jw's kids can't go!

a JW joke i heard before (funny to JW's but not about them ;) )goes like this:

there's was a guy who bought an expensive car. he loved it so much he shined and polished it everyday...blah blah blah. then one morning he went out and found out that someone had crashed right into it and just left...and he screamed:

"OH MY GOD!"

Question: Demons

growing up, i remember hearing stories from my own parents and others in the congregation about experiences with demons.

sister x wore a t-shirt that she purchased at a second hand store and the demons attached themselves to the shirt and gave her problems.

certain movies and/or cds would give a family problems.

i've been possesed before. it was kind of fun. in the kingdom hall too ... i was laughing and screaming and i couldn't stop myself. the intensity i felt was painful...they had to carry me out because i was disrupting the meeting.

it all stopped when i put up a fight. it tried to make me do stuff...i resisted...it hurt like hell...but after a while i gained control. half of it was due to my OD-ing on my meds, but half was real...i know it was. it continued even after the meds wore off until i fought it.

i can tell the whole thing in dirty detail...it scared me at first, but now i'm just glad it's over.

i really need some help from the experts.

the situation i'm living in now is that i'm currently saving money to move out.

my family are jw's, but actually only my mom is baptised.

thanks everyone for the advice...

i thought it over pretty hard and i have a plan. i will tell my sister while we have some alone time that the reason i stopped coming was the date thing with 607 bc ... and i found more stuff out, but she has to promise to keep it secret for now because our mom would not trust me and freak out like she always does. she can tell our mom but tell her that she found it out, not me, or she would not listen. i'll tell her to look into it herself if she does not trust...

she will find out and come to me with more questions. but i have to be careful...very careful.

i think she will find it exciting to learn.

on the one hand, i was grateful that there were opport-.

Having Bible studies to make you strong

how many times in the religion were you offered a bible study to build yourself up again?i have been thinking about it and i think i must hold the current title for this cos apart from the first study which brought me in i have had at least seven others!everytime i got 'weak' i'd be offered yet another study with some sister to help me - and one is trying to get me to have another one but i've had 2 with her b4!

!personally i think that with all these studies under my belt i don't think another one is going to help me much do you!

i had 6 studies ...could have been more, but i can't remember it that well. they all tried to get me to get baptised but gave up because i was too willful and dumped me off on someone else.

and once it fails the numbers will drop again. doesn't anyone see a pattern forming with the org? it sickens me.
