Why did the society shut down it's radio station?

on an earlier thread about the wt's tv commercials i said that the society used the media before, more specifically i reffered to their radio station.

it seems to me that they quit using it because they were pressured to.

i remeber reading something, somewhere about the provacative, imflamatory nature of rutherford's remarks being the principal factor.

Where's You Know or the Kaiser when you need them to answer a quesiton? Or better yet, what about Matty? I think she/he is still in and at least they're respectful/thoughtful.
And what about the modest female issue? Most lingerie doesn't leave much to the imagination.

Are women naturally "Bi" ?

actually a friend of mine, alex, (who hopefully might read this and commence posting on this board) has been insisting for 20 years that women are naturally bi sexual.

i laughed at his claims.. but now, looking around here, and based on numerous group chats ive had with women on this site, there seems to be some evidence that his theory is correct.

You know, Pawn, talking about culture shock, Iwhen I first got to China, I lived in Kunming for a year...it's less comsopolitan than Beijing, Shanghai, or guangzhou, so it's a little more conservative, but when i walked down the street I saw a lot of women holding hands with women or men holding hands with other men, or get this: on the bus, it not uncommon to see men or women sitting in the laps of people of the same sex! They weren't gay or anything...my wife explained that this was a natural sign of closeness between friends. But I did see one Chinese openly lesbian couple while there....and there are gay men in Kunming, but they are either loners or Drag Queens...
But after I moved to Guangzhou, I didn't see any men holding hands expect guys who probably just came from the countryside. So, it's kind of funny how when a Chinese city gets more contact with Western society how it influneces people's actions in public.

By the wya, LB, would you be interested in professional trolling? I've been trolling for years on different sites. In fact, this board here is the only board I DON'T troll on....only b/c it deals with something in my past that I haven't able to totally squash and no one who knows me I.R.L. cannot fully appreciate.

plmkrzy heh. one year, but wouldn't it be considered child abuse or corrupting a minor since you were 17? Don't get me wrong, I'm not coming down you, but that kinda got me thinking for a moment, and it really troubles me...especially all those "holier-than-thou" JWs with their talkin' trash about the "world" and all that jazz.

butalbee: Hell, no. I ain't looking for nothing. Actually, what I was hoping to do was post a profile and get people to write me (or vice versa) and then I spring it on them with some "apostate" crap and remind them that they are doing something that could be considered a walk on the wild, worldly side of life.
But alas, you must pay to have any contact. So once again, the GBs find another way to fleece their clueless flock. Like, "Let's get rid of the convention food tickets, but how do we make money?" "Oh, I know, let's start a dating service for our clueless single folks."
But hey, wouldn't be kind of fun to string some brother along, get him hot and bothered and then reveal you ain't a JW sister? I know, I'm a f&*$ing b@#$%$^, but I enjoy getting JWs rattled, especially the sexist, clueless brothers. This also should work for the sisters.

plmkrzy: Lingerie parties? You mean the sisters actually had/have some? Isn't that something you could get DFed for? Or, at the very least, the sisters find their asses hauled into a JC meeting and having to give details, esp. the model, and maybe give pictures or something? (I mean, imagine what those elders think they find out that their wives were getting to do something "immoral" and they weren't invited? And what about the closeted lesbian sisters who go to the party? You gotta imagine that must a "test of faith" kind of thing that could "lead them astray".)

sweetpea: Yeah, Denver rocks...got the mountains nearby, more days of sunshine than Florida, but all those damn L.A. people movin' in before I went to China just f&*$ed things up though...and Denver's better than Salt Lake City any day. I know, I used to live in that area for two years.

You know, I guess it's the writer in me and there's gotta be a worthwhile story that could come out of this...people gettin' online to find love. Something about it just bugs me, kind of creepy. I mean, what if you write each or chat or whatever and then you mean in real life and bam no chemistry. What a downer, heh.
