[i am posting this on behalf of a poster who wishes to remain anonymous...] .
this is an unofficial notice that r0bert 'bob' huter died suddenly last week.

RIP Bob.

by james walshtimes herald-recordpublished: 2:00 am - 03/22/14town of newburgh the watchtower tract and bible society closed friday on the purchase of the hampton inn on route 300.. watchtower spokesman richard devine said the building will be used to provide housing for short-term volunteers working on the organization's world headquarters, which is under construction in warwick.. the sale price wasn't disclosed.. another property, sterling forest apartments in a rural area of the town of tuxedo, may also be purchased by watchtower.
that would provide housing for long-term volunteer construction workers at the headquarters.. "we talked to the owner there," devine said of the apartments, "but we're still investigating that.
Smart business decision, which is what they are...a business.
Make no mistake, no matter what they tell the adherents why they do things, all decisions are made to insure the existence of the corporation.
I do hope they plan on housing some of the older folks. I know that was an idea put forth years ago by one of the money guys.

Wonderful to see you snowbird!
besides learning how to speak publicly, has the watchtower given you any benefits?
?.
No. And I could learn to speak publicly by being involved with school clubs/activities, joining girl scouts for canvassing.
Nope. Nothing. Nada.
how do you like at&t uverse for tv?
i was reading that i can get text messages from my cell phone on tv, thats why i might be interested to get it but i have read bad reviews about uverse and bad reviews might be planted..
I would ask your neighbors what service they use and if they are happy.
I am not happy with Uverse. The wifi is abyssmal, worse than the previous DSL. But I think it is their equipment, not the concept per se, which doesn't matter because in the end my service is THE WORST!!! Reading up on boards sometimes the wiring doens't deliver the speed it should, and then I've read their switching or equipment was not working properly. I'm getting out of it.
So find out if people are using it in your area and it they are receiving the speed/product they are paying for.
just curious..
Minimus: My mom is very ill and the congregation has been very good to her. I think she may be in a hospital soon or elsewhere. I think I will be seeing some elders who might try to love bomb me.
If I knew the person calling I would act happy and very surprised they were calling. Thank them for doing so and start asking about them, their family etc. In my case it has thrown them off course, then "Oh dear, I really have to go. It's been great catching up with you. Take care, say "hi" to the Suzie and kids."
If they sneak in a request to visit, I just say "now isn't a good time. I'll let you know."
Best thoughts to you and your mom.
pete seeger wrote songs that became the heart and soul of the civil rights movement- where have all the flowers gone, if i had a hammer, turn turn turn, waist depp in the big muddy, we shall overcome.... we traveled to the newport folk festival, which pete helped establish, and got to sing with the great man himself.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1y2siieqy34.
