  Help on: GB comparing themselves to Moses, Jesus, Prophets

  i've had a discussion with a friend concerning the gb or org being "inspired" or "spirit-directed" or a "prophet".

  i found the great strings about claiming prophet status (particularly 04/01/1972 wt and 10/01/1982 wts).. it seems i recall a wt or other publication where they compared themselves to moses, or even jesus as the one channel being used by jehovah.

  while i don't recall any claim of "inspiration", there are dozens using "spirit-directed organization".. interestingly, note the reference to jesus:.

  DOC, on the new Watchtower that brings out all of the "new light", I believe they say the role of Russell was like John The Baptist, opening the way for Jesus, SO, in the mind of the WT/FDS/GB, they are equal to Jesus. LOL.

  The context of Genesis 3:15

  i just want to share my thoughts on genesis 3:15.. we all know the position of the wt/gb/fds on this, that the woman represents heavenly organization (with annointeds, of course), the serpent satan and everybody that is bad.. but to me, the context says other thing.. god is cursing the man, the woman, and the serpent.. first, he starts with the serpent, and give it a pretty mundane curse: you are going to crawl.

  and will have hostility with woman's offspring.. then the woman: you will feel pain when giving birth.. then the man: you are going to work hard.. from this curses, you can read they were pretty mundane.

  simple put, they were curses.

  Thanks leaving_quietly for responding to Vanderhoven7. The GB/FDS/WT think that "prophecy" involves them, because they *think* they are part of the heavenly organization. And we al know they think they are *first row* there. Sure!

  From this curses, you can read they were pretty mundane. Simple put, they were curses. Now, how in the world the WT/GB/FDS takes this worlds from the middle of the conversation between God and the 3 and puts in a prophecy that involve them?

  That's beyond me, and its crazy.

  A question for elders and former elders who have served on JCs

  based on your experience of judicial committees, how would you advise someone who is due to meet with the elders and has asked for the best way to avoid being disfellowshipped?

  is denying everything ever a successful strategy?

  does addressing a letter to the elders threatening legal action if they disfellowship ever work?
