and eventually walked away from the cult.

Jehovah the creator of the universe, the maker of billions of galaxies and trillions of stars cannot figure out what kind of light to provide the GB.
He changes his mind every few months. How sad, he's confused.

by JakeM2012 ina few of my pet peeves were:.
the po/cobe knowing that he needed to have an elders meeting after the meeting but not telling any other elders.

Going after publishers for the way they dressed in service and persecuting some families because their teenage daughter's dress was a little too short.
Too many to mention.

What's Your Opinion Of The Personalities Of The Governing Body?
by minimus ini believe the gb has typically been an odd group of men.
this new batch, the faithful and discreet slave seem very impressed with themselves....like they are modern day apostles or something....or maybe it's just me..

Liars....i don't think they believe the things they teach and they know that God has nothing to do with them.

Letter From My Mother: Moire insane Watchtower Rhetoric
by confusedandalone inagain, i apologize to any who think i may be going overboard posting these letters, but i am hoping that i can help prepare others for the type of bombardment that they may face when dealing with mentally diseased witness parents who have no idea just how much control this cult has over them:.
august 19, 2013. dear <my name removed> & <my wifes name removed>, .
i had the privilege of attending the convention this weekend for a second time and i must say that i enjoyed it more than the first.

Usually they take a stand against the organization because they have been counseled about something. As a result, they pridefully resent the counsel, become bitter and jealous and in the end, reject the counsel. They reject Jehovah’s service, field ministry and don’t try to make disciples, rather they try to draw away disciples of Jesus. As a result the scriptures tell us to avoid them.
None of the above is true.
We left after realizing the watchtower is a cult and their doctrines don't make any sense.
Rather talk to a mule than try to reason with a brainwashed JW.
Just be patient, keep your cool and keep in mind we felt the same way as your parents about those that became "apostate".

Of course when you show that to a JW it never applies to the watchtower. To them any changes coming from FDS is "new light".
Loving provision from Jehovah.

by MissConfused inso few days back i got a scary email about my fading.. just thought of playing a dumb and asking some 'interesting (which other-wise can be termed as foolish, as i care a darn)' question to that very person who just got aware of our fading..... ******************************start of the mail**********************************.
i was reading this through and doing research in wt publications (jw.org), i was a bit confused on the article below.. who is the faithful and discreet slave?8.
why is it fitting that the faithful slave be made up of anointed christians?.

Any questions you ask about JW doctrines will make you a "doubter" in the eyes of your friends and too many questions will get you before the elders for sure. Your so called "friends" will turn you in....

Shunning for inactive ones?
by frogonmytoe ini visited my sister in a small town in the midst of the country, the town has a population of 3,000 and there's about 70 in the cong.
anyway, there was a local needs talk a few months ago about associating with family members who didn't live under your roof and no longer went to meetings.
one family of an elder dad and three sons (one an elder too, the others have stopped going) and a daughter (still going but married a 'worldly') are quite prominent and one half of a typical congregational feud.

Small isolated congregation often have stricter rules than big city congr. that might be more liberal.
Same in the US...try small congr. in Alabama, TN and KY and you'll find that the elders could be a pain in the ass and run a tight ship in the way you dress, where you work and on and on and suck the life and joy of many publishers.

How disgusting for elders to follow orders from the watchtower even though the scriptures outlines differently.
CULT ...no other word can be used for the watchtower.
