So few days back i got a scary email about my fading.. Just thought of playing a dumb and asking some 'interesting (which other-wise can be termed as foolish, as i care a darn)' question to that very person who just got aware of our fading....

    Hi ********,

I was reading this through and doing research in WT publications ( jw.org ), I was a bit confused on the Article below.

WHO IS THE FAITHFUL AND DISCREET SLAVE?

    8. Why is it fitting that the faithful slave be made up of anointed Christians?

8 The faithful slave must be made up of anointed Christians on earth. Such ones are called “a royal priesthood” and have been commissioned to “ ‘declare abroad the excellencies’ of the one that called [them] out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Pet. 2:9) It is only fitting that members of that “royal priesthood” have a direct share in teaching fellow believers the truth.—Mal. 2:7; Rev. 12:17.

Please read 1st Pet 2:1-10 below and tell me whom is the scripture referring to? 1Pet 2:1-10 It is to ? YOU , therefore, that he is precious, because ? YOU ? are believers; but to those not believing, “the identical stone that the builders rejected has become [the] head of [the] corner,” 8 and “a stone of stumbling and a rock-mass of offense.” These are stumbling because they are disobedient to the word. To this very end they were also appointed. 9 But ? YOU ? are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession, that ? YOU ? should declare abroad the excellencies” of the one that called ? YOU ? out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 For ? YOU ? were once not a people, but are now God’s people; ? YOU ? were those who had not been shown mercy, but are now those who have been shown mercy. In my head when I read these scriptures, i felt it spoke about all BELIEVERS, like Israel in old testament which was God's chosen or appointed to carry out way of life how Jehovah wants. It never once in my mind came that the 'PRIESTHOOD' is referring to a specific sect - Governing Body or faithful and discreet slave. Can you do some research and let me know please the verses that talks about this 'new light'? Thanks! ******************************End of the mail**********************************

You could. But, be careful. I have learned the hard way that people just don't see it when they are in. It's like mental blinders. But, asking that question will make them very aware of your doubts. If you truly want to fade, I'd just ignore it.

Any questions you ask about JW doctrines will make you a "doubter" in the eyes of your friends and too many questions will get you before the elders for sure. Your so called "friends" will turn you in....

Just point them in the direction of the GBs words in the Sept. 2007 Kingdom Ministry. Then ask them if they are prepared to discuss/debate doctrines with you, thereby risking serious disciplinary measures by going against the "direction" of the FDS!

Does “the faithful and discreet slave” endorse independent groups of Witnesses who meet together to engage in Scriptural research.......or debate?—Matt. 24:45, 47.

No, it does not. And yet, in various parts of the world, a few associates of our organization have formed groups to do independent research on Bible-related subjects. Some have pursued an independent group study of Biblical Hebrew and Greek so as to analyze the accuracy of the New World Translation. Others explore scientific subjects related to the Bible. They have created Web sites and chat rooms for the purpose of exchanging and debating their views. They have also held conferences and produced publications to present their findings and to supplement what is provided at our Christian meetings and through our literature.

Throughout the earth, Jehovah’s people are receiving ample spiritual instruction and encouragement at congregation meetings, assemblies, and conventions, as well as through the publications of Jehovah’s organization. Under the guidance of his holy spirit and on the basis of his Word of truth, Jehovah provides what is needed so that all of God’s people may be “fitly united in the same mind and in the same line of thought” and remain “stabilized in the faith.” (1 Cor. 1:10; Col. 2:6, 7) Surely we are grateful for Jehovah’s spiritual provisions in these last days. Thus, “the faithful and discreet slave” does not endorse any literature, meetings, or Web sites that are not produced or organized under its oversight.—Matt. 24:45-47.

It is commendable for individuals to want to use their thinking ability in support of the good news. However, no personal pursuit should detract from what Jesus Christ is accomplishing through his congregation on earth today. In the first century, the apostle Paul warned about getting involved in exhausting, time-consuming subjects, such as “genealogies, which end up in nothing, but which furnish questions for research rather than a dispensing of anything by God in connection with faith.” (1 Tim. 1:3-7) All Christians should strive to “shun foolish questionings and genealogies and strife and fights over the Law, for they are unprofitable and futile.”—Titus 3:9.

For those who wish to do extra Bible study and research, we recommend that they explore Insight on the Scriptures, “All Scripture Is Inspired of God and Beneficial,” and our other publications, such as those that discuss the prophecies found in the Bible books of Daniel, Isaiah, and Revelation. These provide abundant material for Bible study and meditation, whereby we can be “filled with the accurate knowledge of [God’s] will in all wisdom and spiritual comprehension, in order to walk worthily of Jehovah to the end of fully pleasing him as [we] go on bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the accurate knowledge of God.”—Col. 1:9, 10.

    Thanks for your concern friends.

The only reason i sent this mail was from last few week, i feel betrayed. This family brought me in to the truth. I feel they were hiding a lot from me. Without giving me accurate knowledge and made me shun my family as they dont belong to this religion. Didnt Jesus disciples have doubts? :(

Great question. Hope they will do some research as you requested and maybe start having doubts about the organization themselves.
