A friend of mine was 8 when he got baptised.
He's DA'd a few years back. I always remember how he used to defend getting baptised at such a young age, saying he knew what he was doing. Only now he admits that he had his doubts for many years, prior to DAing.
Of course nobody now talks to him as he was a baptised brother who decided to leave.

just curious, what percentage of people here actually left the jw org because of this site or similar sites?
do these sites really help people to get out?
I had already left when i found this site. But what this site gave me was a peace of mind after leaving, it helped me come to terms with beliefs that i still held and see them for what they are.

i was told this morning by my parents that the circuit overseer told everyone in the congregation that certain rumor, the change in hour requirements for pioneers is not being lowered.
he mentioned he got this information from the governing body.
he advised everyone to stop believing in rumors!
70hrs! It was 90 in my day...cause we used to "borrow some from next month" anyway

As many of you will know I just married Mary recently and love her more than life itself. But I travel a lot and that does bring certain opportunities. I have not done anything yet but who knows?

On another point mts, if you have been a jw all your life and saved yourself till marriage, then with respect you're sexually immature...like i was, like a good many of us were or are.
May be you need to get it out of your system, after all you can only learn by experience. But it sounds more like you're trying to catch up with something that you missed as a youth, more than anything else.
But then again i may be well off the mark (but i don't think i am ).
