has your life been "blessed" since leaving?
by tigeress inwhile in the org we are constantly told that if we just tow the line and behave that will we be blessed and everything we want will come to us.
personaly i havn't found that to be the case in the 30 years i spent trying to tow the line.. but now i've left wonderfull things are starting to happen in my life and i'm so very happy!.
so i wondered, have you encountered more "blessings" or less since leaving?.

"In work" must be a brit-ism. Do you mean "at work"? as in at the office or shop?
Or does it refer to personal development, as in "[a] work in progress."
Or is it a term referring to a special kind of "work?" Ex. He is "in [the] work" of saving lives.
And finally, why do you want to know?

Jehovah Witnesses are NOT a bad Cult but man made type spiritual guide
by Butterflyleia85 inwhen i was a jehovah's witness i remember these debates being mentioned about the raps of innocent children that elders commented, the blacks and whites segregation, the crosses and christmas tree in the bethal, etc.
jehovah's witnesses have always been harassed for these things.
with the changing world and knowledge of the scriptures they work hard to try to work towards accurateness.

Butterfly: When you are spiritually strong thinking your doing Gods will you do anything for him...Your not thinking about hurting others, .....
But they still get hurt, or worse.
So, as long as you're "spiritually strong" and believe you're doing God's will, any kind of atrocity is OK?????
Your statement is one of the best examples I've ever seen of the kind of thinking that led to my becoming an atheist.

Anyone know how Hambeak is doing?
by parakeet inhe "signed off" about a year ago, but i find myself wondering from time to time how he's doing.
he's one of the kindest members on this board but tended to be very critical of himself.
his health was not the best.

sometimes, trying to do everything just wears me out, and i feel like i'm suffocating.

Keep lurking for a while, EmptyInside. I gave the WTS 14 years of my life. Don't let them steal any more from you than they already have.

A few weeks ago, I put on a fake tattoo butterfly just above my ankle to see what my family's reaction would be. I fooled my daughter-in-law, but my husband and son know me too well. They knew it was fake the instant they saw it.
BTW, it was not painful in the least. And it came off with Scotch tape.

His health was not the best. Sparkplug kept in touch with him (and maybe still does), but she hasn't posted for several months.
If anyone knows anything about Hambeak, I'd take it as a kindness if you would post here or pm me.

Stretching Pierced Ear Holes
by White Dove ini saw three of my friends with extra thick earrings, like the spiral kind that get bigger as they go around, and have since wanted to do my own.
i got 10g tiny but thicker hoops and have just shoved them through enough to put the little doughnut shaped back on.
ouch.

jeannie: I have no idea how you can do that and not faint...
When I had my ears pierced, I very nearly did faint from the pain. I could also feel and hear the cartilage crunch as the needle went through. One of the bravest things I ever did in my life was to let them do the other ear.

I use tools on a small scale (Dremel set, pliers. wire cutters, files), mostly for making jewelry. I'm pretty good with knitting needles, too. I keep a Leatherman multi-purpose tool in my purse. It's come in handy many times.
As for house maintenance, I can change lightbulbs, unblock a toilet, and hang pictures and curtains. Everything else is done by my husband. He's got a wood shop in the garage. I'm afraid to touch that equipment even when it's turned off.
