hi everybody.. i've been a long time lurker here (as are sooo many others.

further to following mouthy's thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/11/129936/1.ashx , i noticed that the 'six screens' website is finally shown as being able to be 'checked out'.. i believe minimus first posted about this some months back.

Why must observers attend the Kingdom Halls for the Memorial?

jesus had only 12 members attend and partake the last meal and memorial.there were no observers in the room.each disciple was given bread to eat and wine to drink.there is no mention of other people in the room who couldn't eat or drink the last meal.this was only for those who would partake of this meal.. why does the wts feel that observers need to be at this yearly event?

why can't the elders who(supposedly) have any 144,000 in their congregations,have a memorial with only these members?

if jesus wanted observers he would of had some at his last meal and requested that they be present from then on..

It's because they are a cult, and mindless made-up ritual is part of every cult. It doesn't even make any flipping SENSE, what they do at the Memorial. It is out and out bizzare and has no basis in Scripture. But nobody is willing to call the Emperor on his nudity. Unspoken compliance in the face of all reason tends to make people more likely to obey when they are asked to, for example, drink Kool-Aid, or let their children die for lack of proper medical care.

i'm sure it can happen, but how many of you were or know of people who were disfellowshipped for using the wt society's own old literature and under what "bible principle" are they able to disfellowship???

i can't think of any off the top of my head.....

Scully you're an RN right? I have heard that nurses hate Grey's because it totally downplays and minimizes the role of nurses and has all of these eight-year surgical interns doing nursing work, and there is like one nurse character on the entire show and she's a minor character.

I always thought that was dumb about that show. Surgical interns wouldn't be changing bedpans and picking through stool to find things and helping patients to the bathroom.

That may be one of the worst-written pieces of faux journalism I've ever seen. I couldn't finish, I got about halfway through and gave up in disgust. There may be some truth in there, but it's impossible to tell.
