I still do A, for all the reasons you mentioned. I no longer do B at all. C I profess to while at the KH, but my wife knows I do not believe, nor do I hide my feelings about the fake man-made organization from her.
Why do I keep up the pretense? I don't know. I'm less sure every day.

Well here's your first eyewitness sighting. It's official.
They read this letter at our TMS&SM tonight. Here's the scoop:
* Watchtower is still bi-monthly.
* The WT on the 1st will be referred to as the "Public" Watchtower. It will contain no study articles, only public-oriented information with no jargon (they specifically said that--no phrases or words that are difficult for the public to understand, like "pioneer" and "publisher".)
* The WT on the 15th will be the "Study" Watchtower. It will have all the study articles for the whole month and will be only for publishers and interested ones (yes, it will be available to studies/interested people.) It is NOT for the general public.
* Only the 1st Watchtower and the 8th Awake will be offered in service.
As people have already pointed out, there are many benefits to this. Vast cost savings. Simplified preparation for field service. An easier-to-sell pair of magazines. Information control (of course exJWs will still get them, but the public won't read weird crap about gays dying at Armageddon.)
Anyways, just thought you'd like to hear it firsthand. -

Just one possibility, this isn't necessarily sinister. Just a couple of weeks ago I filled out a beneficiary form for my life insurance policy and it had fields on it for each beneficiary's SSN.
I mean, for heaven's sake just ask why she needs it. Then you can stop wondering. If she won't tell you, then she's probably up to something and you don't give it to her. -

I realize others have said this already but that guy sounds like a freaking crazy person. That whole time, he sounds like he has this core of anger bubbling up that he's barely controlling, and it could break out in screaming rage at any moment. It almost did when he was reading Revelation.
With the soft-spoken affect and the frequent nasal exhalations, he sounds like Garrison Keillor meets Hannibal Lecter. -

Raymond Franz is back in WTS ?
by Ancientofdays ina friend of mine (still an active jw) is quite sure that r.franz is back into wts.
from his point of view, an evidence is that he never published the 2nd part of isocf, even if it was announced in the first isocf.
i'm quite sure this is a nonsense , but you may help me with some information.

Society's claim of Matt. 24:14 being fulfilled - What it could really mean
by Jourles ini've had this thought for quite a while and wonder if fits with the recent talk about the wts claiming that matt.
24:14 has been fulfilled.
my thought was this --- in the wake of the recent cutbacks at bethel, scaling back of literature, and other cost cutting measures, could the wts be preparing the r&f for the complete or massive reduction of literature that would normally be placed with "householders?

Listen to me.
The preaching work will never, ever, ever, ever be ended. The Witnesses ARE the preaching work. The preaching work IS the Witnesses. Several other people have already said this, and it's absolutely true:
A high control group, such as the Witnesses, cannot survive without control. Without the high control, the Witnesses will evaporate into the night, quietly, like air from a balloon that was untied.
90% of the Society's control over the R&F is the preaching work. All the guilt, all the fear, all the accountability, all the infrastructure of the Society is geared towards the preaching work. 3/5ths of the meetings and half the content of the assemblies is about the preaching work. 95% of what they print is to support the preaching work.
If door to door were turned off, the Witnesses would have
* no reason to go to the Theocratic Ministry School and Service Meeting
* no reason to own that fifth suit
* about 99% less visibility to bethel
* no reason to become a publisher
* a lot more personal wealth
* way more time to think about why this religion sucks so bad
* way more time to argue with each other
* no reason to have a four-door car
* no reason to have sensible shoes
* no reason for Bethel to exist at all
* about half as many castes--they'd lose pioneers, special pioneers, auxiliary pioneers, publishers, etc.
* nothing to feel fearful about
* nothing to feel guilty about
* nothing to talk about
* nothing to do
The preaching work will never be ended for as long as the Witnesses exist as an entity.
Ever.
