Wow this is incredible. At first, I thought he was supporting the WT, but then I got his wit and sense of
humor, and I think it puts the history into perspective. And he doesn't try to put his own agenda into it.
We should hear from him more often!

What do you think the Watchtower is most afraid of?
by JH inlawsuits?
internet?
higher education?.
-
Anitar
I agree with everyone, there is alot the Watchtower is afraid of. But if you think about it, is there really
anything they're not afraid of? Look at everything they have ever taught, practiced, covered up, or lied
about, and you would find enough dirt to bring them down on ANY subject.
From failed prophicies, blood deaths, extortion, class distinctions, the list goes on and on. I cannot find
one single redeemable quality about this "organization." If you goons at Bethel are reading this forum, and
we know you are, just know you have nowhere to go but DOWN.
Hugs and Kisses!

Bro. Schroeder dies
by bythesea ini just received this news from a bro who has connections in bethel.... .
bro albert d schroeder died at 10:30 am new york time today at brooklyn bethel...he was 94 yrs old.. he was born on april 7, 1911 in saginaw, michigan and entered bethel service in 1932. he was appointed a member of the governing body on december 18, 1974. bro schroeder's life story appeared in the march 1, '88 wt pages 10-17: entitled: "my life in jehovah's spirit-directed organization.".
i don't know if the "today" means it was actually today...as i can't be sure when my friend received this news... but anyway, another of the old guys bites the dust.. .

It really is depressing to hear about this clown's life story. It's impossible to know how many deaths and
shattered families he is reaponsible for. And the rank and file will never know...
On one hand, they are taught these old guys will never pass away, but most of them don't even know the GB's
names, or they don't care. Their wasted, soul-sucking lives will continue as usual, completely unaware that
another in a long list of prophicies have quietly failed.
In spite of all the evil he and his peers did, I pray for and pity him, because if Hell exists, he is
certainly there.

MORE BRAIN-DEAD QUOTES FROM APRIL 15 WT

With all the problems going on in their organization, they focus on HAIR??? I'm not surprised, ignoring the
elephant in the room is what the Watchtower does best. If I didn't know better, I'd say they were
republicans, he he. (sorry, no offense intended)
Not one word is mentioned about stopping child molesters or embezzeling money from hurricane victims. They
really do look at the rank and file as pieces of meat. -

The Trinity... is it a false teaching as the WTBTS claims?
by Honesty inin the old testament god revealed himself to his chosen people, the israelites as i am:.
ex 3:14-15 - god replied to moses, i am who i am.
this is what you are to say to the israelites: i am .

Does it really matter if Jesus is God? What if the trinity idea was not the headache inducing, theological
trainwreck that people have been disecting for decades? I look at the trinity as a way to understand God
while covering all the bases, if that makes any sense. As long as you are born again with Jesus, and have a
personal relationship with him according to John 3:3, then I leave the rest up to God. Once you have that,
then it does not matter about the trintiy because after all, it is not the rules of men that we obey or
disobey that gives us our salvation, right? -

Probably all three, although I wouldn't want to predict in what order...HA HA -

WTS requesting insurance checks? Verification?
by EscapedLifer1 ini have read comments on several threads about the wts policy on asking folks whose homes have been repaired/rebuilt by jw volunteers to sign over their insurance checks to the wts?.
is there any kind of paper proof of this policy anywhere?
any further details would be kindly appreciated!!.
-
Anitar
It sounds like everyone has had a different experience with the insurance checks and the elders, all of
which are no doubt true, but the fact remains that no matter how you slice it, the Watchtower always
profits. That sounds neither faithful nor discreet to me.

Armageddon, Inc (1940) - The last critical article there was on JWs!
by VM44 in"armageddon, inc" was an article published in the september 14, 1940 issue of the saturday evening post.. it was written by stanley high and was a critical review of the jehovah's witness religion as it was then.. this was 65 years ago, and i do not know of _any_ articles since then that have been published in a major magazine that attempt to analyze or examine the jehovah's witnesses!.
there have been many articles published over the years about jws, particularly when conventions are being held in a town.
the local papers will usually do stories about them.

Maybe people are just not that interested, which is a sad thing because there is enough information here to
last a lifetime.
Someday, somehow, the Watchtower will pay dearly for their crimes against humanity for over a century. -

Truthseeker, you are fantastic. It looks like the Borg are using a thinly disguised, slightly new method of arguing a very, very old arguement. Time to rotate our shield modulations, HE HE HE.
This whole convention reeks of fear and desperation. The part about the college bashing is classic bait and
switch. They lecture and shove your opinions down your throat and finish off by saying "don't you agree how
wonderful this is?" Granted, college can be a bad infulence with drugs and partying, but it all depends on
the individual. College is just like everything else in life. You get out of it what you put into it. Sure
it's stressful and at times very competitive. But the rewards are far greater than the risks. That's what's
so confusing to young JWs. Today, all we hear about is go to college. I think young people can see the
difference once they begin to research it themselves. They can see through the Watchtower crap because the
most inportant thing you'll get out of your education is the ability to see through the crap, so that NO
ONE WILL THINK FOR YOU.
I'm not just saying this. I am a college sophmore myself, and I can assure you, all my time is spent
either in class, the library, or at work. It is insulting to hear the WT dismiss higher education in one
biased, ill-educated sentence. Ironically, all free time I have is spent researching sites like this one
to get my mother out of the sick Watchtower.
