Wabbit.....regarding Obama I had the same thought....I am a white male who has an affinity for the black female. I have thought about the eventuality of my (possible future) offspring and what will be their experience in society. If you are half and half why must a narrow view prevail that you must be classified as one or the other. Further said offspring would need to be prepared for the narrow-mindedness of individuals. Hopefully they will inherit my individuality and inner strength so as not to really care what others think.
Society seems to be obsessive compulsive in categorizing things. Even things which are just social constructs.
Universal Health Care (UHC) will not fix the underlying problems which make health care expensive. Further UHC will not provide the type of health care people think. To control spending caps and limits on the types and amounts of procedures allowed will be put in place. Sounds OK until you or you family member are the one who can't get a transplant, operation, etc because the quota has been met for this quarter/year/whatever. Oh, you could die without it....so could the other people in line ahead of you....Sorry, you are just a number. Fact: Services MUST be paid for. When the money runs out so does the coverage.
The US Dollar is a fantasy currency. It is backed by nothing. In 2001 it was about 85cents to the Euro now it is closing in on double that ~1.47. That was with the US having a "good economy" now with a possible down turn the outlook is less promising. They are going to lower interest rates again which means the private bank who prints the US Dollar, the "Federal Reserve Bank" is going to print more money. That means that each dollar you have will be worth less.
I don't see anyone who has a plan to fix let alone acknowledges the problems our country faces except for Ron Paul.
Maybe I can convert all my savings into euros....?

Ok ,What is The definition of God?

I guess I will throw my 2c in.
I THINK (i will try not to hurt myself) that since we have no evidence (please look up that word if you don't know what it means) of G/god the definition is the perception one has. If one is a theist it would be something similar to a traditional concept of an all powerful being / creator etc, etc... If one is an atheist I imagine it would be a unprovable concept which they refuse to believe in because there is no evidence. Still further there is the concept that god is anything you place in the position of personal importance traditionally held by the theist's "god".
Me personally I do believe there is a god/creator but I do not believe in the traditional concepts which many hold to. I feel there is a reason/source/cause for the order we see in the universe but I do not believe that this source has the pettyness that people ascribe to it.

by confused and lost ini am half way through this book by carl o. jonsson and the more i read the more certain i become that the 607bce date for the destruction of jerusalem by babylon is nothing more than a fabrication designed to uphold 1914 and hence the "authority" of the watchtower leadership.it makes me sick to think of how they have duped millions of people with their phoney chronology.it makes sitting through studies that mention these dates irritating to say the least.especially when all the heads nod in unison at the mention of the "magic 607"

eclips, thanks for the thought, you seem nice. I do have to say though.....I am not bitter :) I know I probably come across that way but it would take way too much typing to fully express how I feel. In general I have a very positive attitude toward women and I think they are something to be cherished...blah blah blah....but all that is just a lot of typing, I like'm, there.

I doubt I have the desire to fully express how I feel but most women&men have issues and they believe they don't. Too few people get to know themselves before they want to get to know someone else. If you have problems in a relationship, check yourself first and be honest.

Well I will give it a shot.....I am married and was pretty happy until I turned into an evil apostate ;)
Anyway.....Since I think I will be looking again soon.....
I like a woman who will admit they are wrong when they are wrong, stand up for themselves, rub my head when I lay it in her lap, enjoy a good but massage, not whine too much, like big dogs and not rat dogs, cats ok, very little BS, cares about her appearance, not afraid to get dirty sometimes, scared of bugs OK, someone who likes to have sex and understands its a two way street. Someone who is pretty good with money and has a job. Someone who doesn't play games. Someone who let's me protect them and all that comes with it.
Well those are the things on the top of my head right now.
The problem is women can't see the stupid things that they do and their stupid friends tell them that it is not their fault blah blah blah. Sometimes it is and the woman is the one who has the problem not the guy. Guys are pretty simple, good guys can be tamed but just like any other wild animal in you treat him poorly after you have tamed him or ignore him you are likely to get peed on or charged like a bull elephant.
Oh, yeah about there being lots of great ladies waiting for a guy, Puhlease BullSSSShhht.
