Happy for you.....Sad it isn't me...
At least some people get to keep their wives!
for 18 months i have been at loggerheads with my wife over the wts.
she has been the perfect watchtower slave even declaring that she'll never leave the truth.
i decided not to interfere in her life, attacking the society, and the idiots in the hall, but recently things have changed for the best.
Happy for you.....Sad it isn't me...

i was always taught as a little child that to be mad at jehovah and jesus was like commiting blaspemy.
so i held all my anger up until now that i am out of the wts and out of christianity(churches) and i am just furious at jehovah and jesus.
i think they play many games with people that worship them.
If you have kids, or if you had them, if they got mad at you from time to time would you hold it against them?
I think not.
If you believe is God, know that he is not petty, and is much more understanding that you could ever be.

the world's tallest man has married a woman who is 25 years younger than he is - and two-thirds of his height.
after a global search for a suitable bride, herdsman bao xishun ended up marrying a saleswoman from his home city of chifeng in northern china.
mr bao, who stands at 2.36m (7ft 8.95in) tall, tied the knot with xia shujian, 29, several days ago.
He may be the tallest guy standing up, but I am the tallest guy laying down....lol
I would give paint.net
http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html
Draw on paper then scan it in.
Paint.net is free and has a lot of good features.
I think it would be a good place to start before you go out and buy a professional tool.
You may later decide you need something with more features.
PSP, Corel....these all have a big learning curve.
haven't been on here for months and months .. .
completely lost and screwed up.. please don't be offended but some stuff on here does my head in .... .
.
youcanhaveago,
Hey there, many have been in the same position as you.....myself as well.....not that long ago.
Note that the reason you are here is that you desire truth. That is important. You may feel like you don't have an anchor, but that is just because you have to get your "I can think for myself" legs. It is different when you have to start formulating your own thoughts and not everything will have an answer like you are used to in the organization.
Take a breath, pray if you are so inclined (I was/am).
Some people go off the deep end, Don't do that.
Some people thing that just because they were lied to that everybody are liars and totally reject their faith. Don't do that.
Find what works for you.
Some find that they have no faith or become agnostic or whatever.....that is cool....some remain christian....that is cool too.
Just don't rush into any belief system.
Also watch out for the Super Duper Evangelical Jesus Junkies who will no doubt PM you with why you should accept Jesus into your heart and be saved.....
Blah Blah Blah
I am a christian but these people put a bad taste in my mouth.
Just take it easy, smell the roses, It is like waking up. Ease into the day, have a coffee, then when you are wide awake, decide what you want to do.
Peace,

Doug, I appreciate your input, I will read your thread.
I have in my own estimation a fairly good understanding of most of the chronology but any additional info is always good.
Did you have any comments about my specific questions?
I have found a reference which indicates that Persians used a regnal system based on the lunar year.
Now just to find when the lunar year starts.
It seems that if some one is a trinitarian they will see the trinity in the bible
If someone is not a trinitarian they will not see the trinity in the bible.
There is no way this can be answered one way or the other, it just wasn't that important for God to spell it out.
Here we go let's ask God if it is important.
Hey there God, we all want to know, are you a trinity as we understand it or not?
If it is not important feel free to not wasting your time replying.
Thanks!
There you go if God replys we will know, if not it doesn't matter.

I have not found or maybe I am just can't focus enough to read anymore.
But I have a couple of specific questions, References or quotations of earlier works will be just fine.
Thanks in advance also.
[First]
In the paragraph which starts on page 188 and ends on page 189 it states
But the Bible itself provides even more telling evidence against the claim that the 70 years began in 605 B.C.E. and that Jerusalem was destroyed in 587/6 B.C.E. As mentioned, if we were to count from 605 B.C.E., the 70 years would reach down to 535 B.C.E. However, the inspired Bible writer Ezra reported that the 70 years ran until “the first year of Cyrus the king of Persia,” who issued a decree allowing the Jews to return to their homeland. (Ezra 1:1-4; 2 Chronicles 36:21-23) Historians accept that Cyrus conquered Babylon in October 539 B.C.E. and that Cyrus’ first regnal year began in the spring of 538 B.C.E. If Cyrus’ decree came late in his first regnal year, the Jews could easily be back in their homeland by the seventh month (Tishri) as Ezra 3:1 says; this would be October 537 B.C.E.
It speaks of Cyrus "first" year. Now is a switch-a-roo being pulled here? Did Cyrus' first year start in 539 (accession) or did it start in 538 (regnal). I know that 538 would be the first regnal year but when the Bible speaks about his "first year" would that refer to his accession or regnal year? Did the Persians count accession year?
[Second]
Has anyone pointed out the inconsistency between the claim in the above paragraph
:
:"the 70 years ran until “the first year of Cyrus the king of Persia,”"
that the 70 years began with the complete desolation of Judah after Jerusalem was destroyed.****The complete desolation did not come until years after Jerusalem was destroyed*****
counting back 70 years from when the Jews returned to their homeland in 537 B.C.E:
I swear I had another one but I think I have been reading too much.

*****I had to edit the post because firefox removed all my spacing and someone would have said that paragraphs are our friends. ;)
one that held that position, what were they responsible for?.
i understand that congregations were communal and shared resources.. was an episkope an overseer of spiritual matters or physical needs such as food and money, political structure?.
i guess i am asking an "overseer" of "what"?.
Thanks for everyones input.

When I wrote communal I meant not that they all lived together but rather ones in the church which had more would share with those who were in need. A community inside a community
I suppose I chose the wrong word.
Regarding your quoting Ignatius, I was reading on BGreek that the POV expressed in his writing were not actually representative of the thought found in the NT but rather a post early christian (if that makes sense) viewpoint. I am not an expert and may just be misunderstanding.
