Some things I have noticed since my husband has gone back to the KH

he uses terms like: .

~ its okay if you dont recognize gods sovergnty .

~ its okay , you dont know better, if you knew what i knew then you wouldnt (celebrate xmas) lol .. i told him i knew what he knew, and its irrelevant, havent gotten to the fact they can play with pinatas because they dont mean the same thing they used to.

Elders preaching ''last days'' while building massive houses........

there are 2 elders in my cousins congregation who are partners in a construction business.

they buy land,build huge homes,live there,and sell 2 years later.

one of them sold his home last year for $860,000 .

This lady chose to stay put and suffer rather than risk having her meetings interrupted. I was floored. The local JWs, while eating this up as an example of how to stay loyal, are standing by silently while she continues to lose weight and her phone service is cut off. But, she's making those meetings...... It's a sure bet that with winter setting in, her utilities are sure to follow. But, as long as she makes those meetings......

I finally spoke to my parents. Best thing I did.

several month ago i finally got up the courage to speak to my parents about the reasons i left the borg.

up until then things were brewing up inside me to the point where i thought i would explode in rage.. even though they were aware of the basic reasons they still had no idea about how angry i was.. friday afternoon i started by asking my mother that i would like to arrange a meeting between the 2 of them and my wife and i to discuss the 't'.

i didn't want to get into detail at this stage because it would be unfair on just her without my elder dad being there.

What is a "pony"?

after a few responses; i will tell you what the circuit overseer told my mom (and the others out in service) the definition of pony is.. i can not find his definition anywhere on the internet or in the dictionary - maybe someone can enlighten me on the definition of "pony".. .

all my beliefs, including those ingrained in me as one raised "in the truth".. a few years ago i sought therapy for chronic depression and my treatment was remarkably successful.

as a side effect, things that used to "work" for me no longer fit with the new emotional pathways and strengths i was developing.

Is it true that the WT uses hypnosis covertly during KH meetings?

i personally am a sceptic regarding the validity of hypnosis as a form of mind control.

i associate it with entertainment tricks pulled by stage performers.. i never experienced any weird happenings during my only two visits to a kh.

is anyone able to refute me?

Who is Allah?

i found it very interesting to learn on this forum about the origins of yahweh as an ancient tribal deity worshipped by the early settlers in the middle east.

but i know very little about allah, the god of islam.. does anyone know the relationship between allah and yahweh?

do both these deities have an origin in the ancient tribes from the middle east area?.
