  i have just finished reading the book by carl olof jonnson about the subject of the last days.

  a very interesting and enlightening book.

  i noticed though that there was no discussion concerning the preaching of god's kingdom as a sign of the "time of the end".

  I read this book also, very good.
  After reading it I realized that what the JW’s preach was a
  different “Good News”.

  What’s kinda funny is my wife and I had this
  call on a couple that we started to study with
  and out of the blue we go to there house to study one day
  and he starts a conversation with me and he starts talking
  about how we’re not in the last days. I tried to reason that
  we are, but he was very adamant about it and he stopped
  the study. Looking back I always think that he must of
  got a hold of this book and read it.

  PS. I shared it with my sister-in-law non-witness and she snached it faster

  than any watchtower mag I have ever placed with her.

  85 views and 2 posts. I can’t stand it any longer.
  You said, method of discovering the 'Truth about the Truth'
  The very first thing I remember on the internet was a weird “apostate site”
  that had a bunch of stuff on it, but the one thing I remember was Rutherfords
  beth sarim house. I mentioned it out in service and the group got quiet. There
  response or lack of was strange.

  But the real reason I think is being depressed with the whole routine week after week.
  It got old, I would look around the kingdom hall at the people and see people weary and
  tired. Things said from the platform would make no sense at times. You know, like scratching
  your head type things.
  
  So I set out to explore more internet. And found allsorts of goodies.
  I think also after reading a few letters on line from EXjw’s helped me to see
  that I wasn’t the only one feeling this way.

  Well I have to go.
  I just want to say thanks to all of you who contribute on this form. It means a lot to me.
  A place to go and realize I’m not going crazy.

  Side note, the other week the server on this site must have been down for a while and
  I got to say I think I stopped breathing for a second. Scary.

  Thanks mavie for the review.

  Third was a lifelong pioneer (in his 30's). No higher education. He has done whatever he could secularly to continue pioneering with his wife. He now lives on a farm cleaning horse stalls.

  How sad. I wonder if any of the GB have had to shovel horse crap for a living.

  D.C. "Come Be My Follower" 2007

  that was the new book released at the d.c. some observations:they made reference to john 3:16.i noticed they referred to it a number of times,but only mentioned the 1st part about the ransom and not the part"in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life".

  in the book "come be my follower" they criticize christendom and what it believes.page 12 they state the purpose of the book"its aim is,not to give a complete summary of the life and ministry ofjesus,"than on page 22 they state "the study aid,will make a careful study of the life and ministry of jesus".

  also on page 12 and page 28 they say see "the greatest man who ever lived" and" what does the bible really teach?

  my husband said he never heard anything like that.

  i told him that was the point, that we don't even notice the bull****.. where can i get the most ludicrous quotes and when did they decide they are the mediator for the rest of us ?.

  Nice Experience with my "Worldly" Relatives

  after da'ing myself three years ago i wanted to get in touch with some of my "worldly" relatives since i had mostly ignored them for quite sometime and because my witness relatives were shunning me.

  about the only relative i had a relationship with was my sister who was df'd.

  i wasn't quite sure how to go about this because i didn't know what my parents had told any of them if anything.

  i get emails like this all the time.

  some jw gets upset at the stuff on my site, and wanting to add more weight/shock value to what they say, they either mention in passing that they are "not one of jehovah's witnesses" or are a child.

  this one claims to be a 13-yr old girl!

  firstly, my mother passed away after complications from her surgery.

  so i've lost my entire family since 1999. i'm an only child.

  like you have alot of people who care about you here and have some very sound advice.
  Maybe joining the Boy scouts would be a good idea you’ll probably meet some good friends
  there.

  I would say yes!

  The more I read the NT and compare to JW teachings the more I see it.

  I try to point this out to my wife and sometimes think she see's it but then

  the scales form back over her eye's.
