  Jehovah doesn't want anyone to die + draws people?!

  if the two scriptures i have in mind about him not desiring anyone to die, and drawing those he wants to be his people, how come he draws so very, very few, especially in the western world?

  it's like he hardly wants anyone, judging by the one or two he "draws" into u.k congregations every couple of years.

  #confused.

  India, China and Pakistan don't seem to be on his 'draw' list.

  But you can add that to stopping malaria, river blindness, AIDS & starvation on his list of things he doesn't deal with.

  Was it just me or was something different about the memorial last night?

  this was the first memorial that i declined to do any work for the memorial.

  i was assigned as a parking attendant after getting downgraded from doing the sound and had no intention of doing either task but i had to attend for my family and continuation of my fade.

  i sat there last night listening to the talk and couldn't help but shake my head as my brain attempted to process the bs.

  UK Memorial attendances up this year?!

  my congregation had around 25 more people at the memorial last night than last year, and the two other congregations i have family in all experienced a similar increase in about 25 more people present.

  umm, i'm surprised, having thought this year would see a memorial decline again.

  and i'm kind of disappointed..

  What do you mean 'will keep saying', as if it's some kind of new phenomenon?

  They've been saying it since the late 1800's along with hundreds of other faiths.

  Try to seperate what they say with the reality of the situation. They've had a wee erection about what's happened in Russia. When that blows over they'll find some other form of persecution porn.

  Its always the way with them. Repeatative, tedious, scaremongering bullshit.

  There was always a fluctuation in attendances due to world events. Someone may correct me but I'm sure after 9/11 and the ensuing war on terror that the 2002 attendance was slightly increased.

  A bit similar to how they all dropped in 1976 once it dawned on people that the organisation had led them down the garden path with another false prediction regarding 1975.

  I was unaware of such dialogue. It's disappointing that he does indeed seem to take input or criticism badly.

  However, I have benefited from his comments on different topics and his balanced and fair use of mocking such harmful and ridiculous beliefs really appeals to me.

  As much as I believe everyone's activism will help I personally find Marc and Cora equally arrogant if not moreso and their sickly love in with each other detracts from their message.

  I'm 90% PIMO but events in Russia made me stop and think maybe Jehovah is real and helping

  i'm at the stage where i'd love a big scandal to come along showing clearly that the j.w's are not the true religion, but sometimes i get touched inside by various thoughts or events, the russian court trial being one of them.. i mean, j.w's are understandably fixated with attending the memorial, so why didn't the court say it will resume on monday or tuesday, instead setting wednesday 12 april as the date?

  part of me believes the comments from pro-j.w's that jehovah moved events so they could attend the memorial.. it seems the j.w's will not be banned, which makes my mind and heart wrestle between thinking jah's behind it, or maybe the ministry of justice is just woefully prepared compared to the superb australian royal commission team who did their homework.

  it surprises me the russians seemingly haven't done any homework..

  If there is truly a god who backs shunning/blood doctrine & enabling paedophiles to continue abuse through a flawed policy then it doesn't really matter.

  I don't want to worship such a god and would rather die than live forever giving praise to a god like that.

  I agree with Cedars. It's counter productive.

  I personally know witnesses who seemed to be wilting in recent years who now seem galvanised by this Russian situation.
