Remember when you could wear casual clothes to the congregation book study?
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini would get home from work, eat dinner, shower and put on jeans,a shirt and gym shoes to the book study.
then, one day a letter was read where men would need to wear a suit and tie and the woman would have to wear dresses.
it was stated in a letter that the change was due to, '' giving a better witness to anyone who would watch us walking into our local congregation or a neighbor's house.''.

They are so hung up on thinking what people wear impresses God. If that were the case, why were we born naked? Anyway, I imagine the public watching these loonies all dressed up probably just thinks, OMG, if I joined this religion, look what they'd expect ME to do too, no thanks. -

Wait, if the fields are still " white for harvesting," how are they doing the final march around Jericho? Is it the last final push before the doors close, or are there still many to be preached to? The contradictions and double talk is astounding. Doesn't anybody up there in the Tower proof read, to make sure they don't keep making whoopsies every time they open their mouth? -

Template to dump Special Pioneers
by avaddohn94 in"downsizing" has reached special pioneers.. this is the template mexico is using to get rid of many of its special pioneers.
see how cold and unloving is the language they use.
a translation attempt is as follows:.

"We don't want to pay you any more, but looky here, you can keep pioneering for free now, what rich blessings!"
I wonder how many families who were undecided about sending their kids to college, will say aw, screw it! May as well, there's no future in a Pioneer/ Bethel career!

This weeks service meeting! More craziness.....
by stuckinarut2 inso this weeks service meeting is so full of "crazy".
a whole 15 min part devoted to trying to indoctrinate everyone on how to "explain our beliefs on 1914".
then another 15 min part called "a tool to help us explain our beliefs about 1914".

Those nutjobs really think the utilities will still be cranking out electricity and they can just help themselves to the IBM property? Doesn't jibe with"Zero" Angelino's speech describing bodies everywhere, stacked up in alleys, birds eating on them, etc... but meanwhile, at Warwick, the power stays on & gleeful minions are clicking the mouse over at IBM. Derp. -

There is a reason the mass exodus hasnt happaned yet
by nevaagain inbefore i was fully awake (i was never really) i would use the time at the meetings for day dreaming, for solving work related problems (in my mind) or just simply not fully listening to the talks.
after awhile everything just sounds all the same to you, nothing new.
think about it, i was really disappointed when they got rid of the announcements part, because actually thats the only part, where you could have heard something new (when the announcements where not from the kingdom ministry of course).

Crazy Study Stories
by dubstepped ini never really had any studies to speak of, but my parents did have many over the years, and every single one of them was batsh!t crazy in some way.
there was one lady we kids affectionately termed "dirty robin" (her name was robin) and yes, she was very dirty.
her kids were filthy and rarely wore clothes.

When I was a toddler, my parents studied with an elderly couple living in a tiny Airstream trailer parked out in the country by the corn fields. They had a problem with rats, big ones, chewing holes in the walls inside the trailer. Occasionally one would be seen running across the room. I wonder now what my parents were thinking, bringing a child inside that place. You had to keep your feet up on the couch too, because there were these rodents scurrying around, and fleas too! The husband spit tobacco juice in a can and the place was just filthy. They just wanted company, and I think the study was eventually dropped but that I don't remember. -

Any thoughts on the real reasons for droppng the 'school"
by sparrowdown inmy thoughts are.
1. they want to avoid being made to comply with any laws that come with anything classed as a "school" especially a school with children enrolled.. 2. the mid-week meeting has been dying in the ass for years and needs a revival.
i predict happy -clappy-sing-a-longs to be included in the program.. anyone else have any thoughts ??

I remember trying to come up with a lame setting. It seemed to be the same old ones. Oh, I see you are having trouble with that dryer here in the sketchy public laundromat. I want to share a scripture with you. Did you know that soon, all our clothing will be perfect, just like us, and will never need suds? Plus, Jeehover will make all the dryers run like new!
Omg. I'm guessing the same ol' was too much to bear in it's ridiculousness and nobody has that kind of time any more. Not that the Groping Buddies (GB-tm) would care about that, but if people just aren't participating or showing up, and it was problematic week in and week out, they had to do something.

Anthony Morris explains how God gives Decrees to man! New video edit.
by Wasanelder Once ini took the most recent video on "obey" and edited it down to its core.
here tony explains that the decisions of the faithful slave are arrived at "collectively" but are not a "collection" of man made decisions.
it would be comical if it weren't so sad.. tony video.

Seriously, I wonder if he even believes in God, because if he did, he'd be afraid to utter such blasphemy! -

If so, this could cause the elderly to be frustrated and bewildered. My mom can't get the hang of her tablet and has been quite sour about it. I'm told she really enjoys"the ministry." If door knocking loses importance, she will really feel like she's not needed any more. Truth be told, she probably isn't, because she no longer has any money to advance the world wide jerks, I mean, work.
