OT question about dogs
by Irish Rose inmy husband and i will be getting into our own home, before this year is over.
we are both hoping sooner rather than later.
with renting, owning a dog was very much out of the question.

Any ways, our family consist of 2 boys (10 and 12), my husband and myself. We also have two cats, and planning on getting at least one more once we move in. (I already know that certain dogs do not like cats.) We would like to get one, that the neighbors would not view as a threat. But will protect the family in the case of a break in. Any ideas?
Not likely.
The barking helps, so if you want to consider a small dog, I have a Jack Russell female that I will send you.
Most dogs do better at watchdogs if they are kept in a fence, or sadly, chained up.
Certain breeds are more protective than others.
If you don't want my Jack Russell, (and I wouldn't blame you), I recommend a lot of study on the matter before you get one.
Basically, dogs are shit factories. You pour in perfectly good food into one end and they make their deposits regularly and at the worst possible locations. When you get a dog, also get a gun. Know what I mean?

Once You Had Doubts, How Long Before You Got On The Internet?
by minimus inthe watchtower society keeps telling everyone to stay away from the evil internet.
they claim that once you surf the internet, even if it's done innocently, it's the beginning of the end.
were you personally affected in your faith because you turned on the computer?

My wife got on the internet about two years before I would look.
Both of us were having serious questions re: the UN scandal, but she found Robert King, the Watchman, and she told me, "There's someone on the net that believes the same way as we do".
(That was when we thought the WT was still God's mouthpiece, which we now know and believe that it never was.
I did not get on the internet until AFTER I quit going to the KH in June 05.
JWD has been a godsend for us.

If you believe in Evolution then your a fool! God really is REAL!
by Blackboo inhere are some questions evolution never bring up or will evade questioning.
these are serious questions that kill all the silly beliefs about how the earth or universe got here..and here is why.
think about this for a second we would not be here if nothing for all existence did not exist.

Blackboo,
I didn't read any of the posts on this thread, so this may be a repetition, but the nature of your statement:
If you believe in Evolution then your a fool! God really is REAL!
Is inflammatory.
If you want to help us see that God is the Creator, why don't you use a different tone?
You come off like a judgmental fanatic.
Lighten up jerk.

Can you count a bible study with a 2 year old?
by truthseeker inaccording to my friend, an elder said he could count 4 hours a month and a bible study if he talked about jehovah to his 2 year old son.. this would go some way to getting in his 10 hours a month as the elder said to my friend "the co won't look at anyone whose hours are less than 10.".
ridiculous eh?.

alymc you said:
I was always told that any time I spent teaching my kids formally (reading the BSB) could be counted.
I am sure you were told that, but it is incorrect, according to the organization.
ONE parent may count the time with their CHILDREN (one or more) for ONE HOUR per WEEK.
THAT IS ALL.
However, no one does that, instead they get a bunch of teenage pioneers over to study with each kid and an elder or two to study with a couple of unruly ones and the congregation report probably has 50 hours reported on just one dysfunctional family.
NO ONE goes by any of the rules, EXCEPT ONE--HATE THE APOSTATES.

there is no difference betwee the WT publishing house and any other corporation in America.
The only thing that makes any difference is the bottom line.
I just wish those in Bethel, instead of being generally arrogant and haughty would examine closely what I know they must have been hearing for the past years and finally act like mature Christians.

"Spiritual Paradise and Other Delusions About Jehovah's Witnesses"
I've thought about it for years. I was an elder for 30 years, so I have a lot of material. But, someone said something about being lazy, and I guess I'm elected.
