Astonishing Publisher Peak in Britain for August 2006
by slimboyfat inwell i just got the new kingdom ministry for december and it has the publisher peak for august: 129,482!.
that is quite an amazing total when you compare it to the trend of recent years:.
2006 - 129,482. i wish i could produce a graph, but you get the picture - there has been a dramatic increase in the publisher peak number this year compared with the recent downward trend after the 1995 "generation" change and subsequent stagnation.

I appropriately hate the WT as much as the next guy, but it is not dishonest to count one publisher two, three or more times even when they turn their time in sporadically. It is the average publishers for the year that they are showing.
The secretaries that have stated that are right. It is the way we were trained.
One idea though that might account for the increase other than immigration, is possibly the CO's are under pressure to get the cong secty to get ALL the reports he possibly can. That could explain a small spike.
Sadly, though, I think they (the WT) are going to do fine without us. There's a sucker born every minute, and the places they look for suckers is amongst the lonely and disinherited. They will come in and put in a few years then leave like the rest of us. Pretty soon there will be 10 million witnesses and 20 million that have quit.
Personally, I wish they would implode.

To think; less than 2% of the count of "anointed" are at Bethel and how many of them are GB, that means the body of Christ is in the field, how much input do they have when it comes to prophesy and doctrine? I'll tell you...none. I have known of anointed that have gone to Bethel with "light" and not made it past the receptionist. The GB says that the other sheep can be used by the spirit to write the WT, well a jackass was used in the Bible to direct the prophet Balam, so I guess todays prophet is talking out its ass too.
Lesterd-----Your statement is so true. It certainly highlights the MYTH OF THE FAITHFUL AND DISCREET SLAVE. That is a total bucket of trash. If they believed that they would be in contact with all whom they could, and the WT would have articles encouraging these people to identify themselves.
Now, if they did that, I'll betcha that about 3-6 million would partake at the next memorial, to use the term loosely.

IS THERE ANY WAY TO PICK A WINABLE CAUSE AND UNITE TOGETHER FINANCIALLY TO MAKE LIFE DIFFICULT FOR THE WATCHTOWER?
The following is a quote from a young girl (Renee--MY STORY) that was posted a couple of days ago.
It infuriates me that a NON-PROFIT organization would go to some poor kid and demand a refund on the money that they spent on the repair of her grandma's house, and then disfellowship her for a 7 year old accustation.
With the kind of reasoning that they used on her, I would be in line for a refund of 10's of thousands of dollars over the last 45 years of donations, quick-builds,. etc.
I cried. I had no idea what to do. My father came to tell me goodbye. My mother came to tell me goodbye. I called many of those I knew who were former Jehovah’s Witnesses and now Christians. They helped me to make a decision about what to do. I remember Frankie telling me that I had to make a decision. I had to stand for Jesus and make a decision to follow him and depend on him or else to give in to the Witnesses. I followed her advice. I prayed to receive Christ into my life and I decided what I had to do. That was the moment that my life began to transform.
I walked into the room of the judicial committee. They asked me to describe the details of the sin to them. I told them that God had already forgiven me seven years prior and I did not have to justify myself to them. I added that I no longer wished to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. They asked me to leave the room so they could talk. I waited. When it was time, they called me back. They said that they wanted me to make a donation for $1282.00 for some work they had “volunteered” to do after the Katrina disaster to my great grandmother’s house in which I was livng. For some reason I gave them the money. They asked me to sign a piece of paper saying that I no longer wished to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It was over.
When I read something like this, I want to go get a lawyer and sue these guys for that kind of crap.

Welcome.
You did the right thing. I went through the same mess in 2000, finally made an issue with the WT over the UN in 2005 and 6, and was disfellowshipped last may.
It is good to have the release from their clutches. I was a witness for 45 years, an elder for 30. I am 60 and happier than ever that I made that step.

My wife and I met Brother Nathan Knorr one time.
In 1969 at the Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City version of the round the world international assemblies, he conducted the Gilead Meeting.
Since my sweetie and I wanted to save the world at the time and were pioneers, we went to the meeting. During his brief discourse, he noticed some poor sap holding a microphone attached to a tape recorder. You wouldn't believe his reaction------------don't remember it all, but it went like this, "What do you think you are doing? Are you going to broadcast this meeting around the world? Either put that thing away or leave!"
I am not embellishing, this is not quite as shocking as it was in person.
From that time forward, I did not respect him ever again.
Pompous son of a bitch! Prick, bastard. Sure reminded me of Christ Jesus! NOT!!!
Why didn't I quit then? Stupid I guess.
