vasil "bill" sekela was a co back in the '70s and as i mentioned on another thread here "he was a pint-sized emperor and a veritable human tornado.
every congregation he passed through was a scene of devastation afterwards.

We had Bill Sekela in the mid 70's in Aurora, MO. He liked me so I didn't notice that he was an asshole.
Funny how perspective is shaded by being on the 'in' with someone.
I am sure that he is as bad as has been mentioned though, just not to me.

with this new light, i am starting to try and figure out what to do with my life and my time... now that the world is opened up for me to finally explore.. i have been wondering if i will return to celebrating the holidays with my 'worldly' relatives.
my parents, brother, and in-laws are all witnesses.
i have pretty much rejected the holidays say for 25 years.
The modern day ORIGIN of Jehovah's Witnesses was as a spiritistic offshoot of 7th Day Adventist.
(I.E.--Pyramidology, connections to Masons, etc)
When we left, after 45 years of being devout witnesses, we decided that our view of holidays had been honed by the Watertower Binder and Tractor Sales, and that we were not going to be influenced AT ALL by their teachings.
I feel that Christmas, regardless of origin at least reminds people of Jesus Christ a lot more than going to the Kingdom Hall.
We are happy.
If we die, we die happy.

first off i was wrong for judging a whole group of people based on the actions of a few others.. .
there have been many courteous replies from some of the gay posters on here, and i know it must have been hard considering all the things that i said.

gb anthony morris gave the final talk on friday's 2007 follow the christ dc.
in the talk he gives reasons for the r&f to trust the fds specifically the gb.. the talk is nauseating, but shows how desperate the gb has become.

However, I tend to agree with Junction Guy when he wrote:
I understand how you feel about losing faith, I almost lost my faith about 1 1/2 years ago, and it is not a good feeling at all, especially when you realized that you were being tricked and coached.
It is hard to come to terms with having been 'conned' for 45 years, missing out on an education and spending years in wasted full time service, prison and all those boring meetings.

this evening i am letting my ex-girlfriend's 18 year old son borrow my convertible for his senior prom.
we have been getting along great lately, he invited me to play tennis with him, and had me come watch him pitch for his high school baseball team.
until this week, he hasn't told his mom about seeing me.
the kid will go through his whole life grateful to you.

i have had a bad day and thought that i eould share it with you to either cheer you up - glad i am not him.. story - my in laws are moving to a flat/appartment, and they had a load of rubbish to be moved from there by today so that the workmen can finish tommorow.they (the in laws) can not do to much as they are quite infirm.

i said to my jw wife as i ran to her the meeting would really appreciate a hand here, she indicated that she really could not as she must get to meeting.

according to the revelation book on its comments regarding ps 45,the virgin companions of the bride represent the great crowd.yet as ps 45 v 15 clearly shows they enter into the palace of the king with the bride.to my way of thinking this would indicate that the great crowd enter heaven also.however the rev book says on page 276 par 14 "the prophetic account in psalm 45 describes the order of events.
first the enthroned king rides forth to the conquest of his enemies.
(verses 1-7) then the marriage is performed, the heavenly bride being attended on earth by her virgin companions, the great crowd.
