Does anyone have a link to a concise, point-by-point refutation of the tract? Suitable for sending to newspapers, etc. and for handing out at the door when the JW's call? If one (apostate) person wrote a two page, fact- and quote-filled paper, we could all use it to great advantage. Unwittingly, the WTS is providing a great opportunity to the apostate community to take advantage of this wave of publicity.

Dubs out with kn37
by fullofdoubtnow ini just took the dog a walk, and saw 4 dubs at the top of our street, trying to place kn37.
this is, of course, the first official day of thecampaign, so i expext to see a few more of them than usual over the next few days, but it's not often i see them at this time of day (3:10pm when i spotted them).
they all know me, and when they saw me walking towards them with the dog, who does admittedly look a bit fearsome, being a pit bull/staffordshire bull terrier cross, they looked a little nervous, as if they thought i was going to set him on to them.

i met a lurker on a dub site and while we started off as just friends we became a lot more.
over 3 months we hurt both our partners and ourselves and in the end she ended up running back to her rich boyfriend and cut me off completely.. ok i know that some of you embittered bible bashers just cant wait to reach for your keyboards and start condemning me save it!

Matt,
Relapse is part of recovery. Don't be too hard on yourself for wanting the comfort of the familiar. This is a process, not a foot race.

MORE INSANE DRIVEL FROM THE NOV 15th WT STUDY
by Mary inhere's another article showing how loving jehovah's only channel in the universe is towards their fellow man.
on page 26 of the november 15th craptower study, there's a lovely study article called always accept jehovah's discipline.
in reality, we all know it's really saying "never question the governing body'sdiscipline".. it's starts out with the predicable "no discipline seems for the present to be joyous but grievous", blah, blah, blah.

I think I remember reading that the prodigal son couldn't come home right away. Didn't he have to wait to make sure of his heart condition?
Nope.
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. The son said to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son." But the father said to his servants, "Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found." So they began to celebrate.
I've always wondered - what exactly is a 'heart condition?' The way the WTS uses it, a 'good heart condition' indicates someone who worships and obeys the WTS.

Special Assembly 2-Day 2,000 delegates and TWO baptisms!
by MinisterAmos injust got back from the special one day assembly and had to share this important info.
only two baptisms today; two girls about 15-16 out of 2,000 attendees.. i stumbled more than two with my anti-witnessing.
i posted un expose material in the bathrooms along with pre and post nov 1995 1914 generation belief.. incidentally, attendance was down almost 25% over last year as well.

The trick is to figure a way get people educated and have them still believe the Watchtower has all the answers.
Aye, there's the rub. At some point the brain trust at the WTS may have to devise a formula that will predict the balance of education/retention. If the bOrg needs $$, then they have to encourage the R & F to make more $$ so they can donate more. But they also have to calculate that if out of 1,000 JW's who go on to a higher education and learn critical thinking skills, might not a percentage also leave the bOrg as a result? One approach would be to encourage vocational education and the hard sciences, but discourage (or even prohibit) humanities, psych, philosophy. logic, religion and critical thinking courses. Of course, one would have to take some of these to qualify for the breadth to get certain degrees. What a dilemma! If only Armageddon would hurry up!

Gill,
I've made them a couple of times - it is amazing how delicious a 3-month old cake can be! Yes, the period soaking with rum or brandy is important.
As you may know, many people in the US do not appreciate fruit cake - there are jokes every year about gifts of fruit cakes being recycled (re-gifted) year after year, no one actually eating it. Personally, I consider a good fruit cake a major treat!
Happy Christmas!

At a small cabin-motel in Panguitch, Utah last week. At the registration counter, presided over by an (Eastern) Indian woman, was a stack of about 40 Awakes. If I could have grabbed them without her noticing, I would have binned them without a second thought.

this post contains reasonable questions due to the fact.
that individuals who no longer claim to be one of jehovah's.
