What could you have been if you were never a JW?

I was in a band that was bound for success. JW thing kept blocking natural progress, our producer wanted to put us in touch with Epic Records. That + early marriages + crazy JW wives, family pressure fined it entirely and a good friendship for a about 10 years.

Business, I am making up for lost time now, but I bought my first house when I was 19, me and my cousin were the first ones in our family to actually buy houses, consider brazen as the end was coming., went to college when I was 25, had I gone earlier, not gotten married etc, the business goals I could have achieved by now based on what I have achieved with massive cult related setback, I could be living a higher quality of life now.

Music Career, may have not been lucrative but a lot of great life experience and recognition

Business, I could have been enjoying my life and what I do a lot sooner than living their way

F%$k this cult

Id rather die my way than live theirs ever again

JW cart lives in nice house

just finished watching the jwbroadcast for february.

on the part of the jwcart, i couldn't help but notice that the cart came out from a nice expensive home.

certainly not a place a window washer would be living in.

Are we heading for III World War?

the leaders of russia, germany, france and ukraine are slated to meet in minsk (the belarusian capital) tomorrow to discuss a ukrainian peace plan!

some countries such as hollande believe there is going to be a total war.

when they met last year in the same place, they had put forward a peace plan (a ceasefire, withdrawal of artillery, prisoner exchanges and other concessions) that were never fully implemented!

I heard of some dubs that I knew who's cart was attacked and actually knocked over by the neighborhood drunk, he was later incarcerated for also attacking two muslim women in the same area. I see this as a lightening rod for ridicule, and also a source of provocation from the growing number of apostates and ex jws.

New member, no longer just reader...

so i joined very recently and began posting and commenting without a formal intro.

been reading for a while, decided it was time to jump in.

mentally i am completely cleansed of this thing, but still have to maintain a minimal involvement for spouse and family.

At absalom its a balancing act. I see family and friends nervous by my behavior, but then they see that I am still nicer, more generous, more loving, more honest and on and on and on than any uber dub, and they see me as a relief despiste my fading status.

The bible has lost its validity...

the bible has lost its luster during this age of information so many real truths have been brought to light with the help of the internet, that the bible just isn't looked upon the same if at all anymore.

if you can still cling to the bible after thorough research then "god bless you"!

100% agree, the more science and archeology discovers, the less relevant this book becomes by the day.

Its barbaric, inaccurate, and full of stories stolen and plagiarized from older ideas/religions/myths.

Noah preached 100-120 years and no followers. What the hell was he preaching?

let me see if i have this straight.

we are to believe noah preached over a 100 years with 0 effect.. the bible records that lamech, noah's father had sons and daughter's but the number is not included.

to have a plural number of brothers and sisters, there would be at least four siblings, two brothers and two sisters.. my folks had 6 kids and 90 years later there are over 100 family members.. some say based on what's written in gen.6:3, noah preached anywhere between 100-120 years.

@crazyguy one of my faves. The witnesses have to believe that every other culture that actually kept record were off by many hundreds of years. If everything in the bible has to be true for it to be true, than just based on the flood it's all crapola

I love how crazy the flood story makes the bible.
